	12:13pm Phillippe Bastille: Funny thing happened on the way to the forum: My middle son does some acting on the side, and he got a call to go on a shoot Sunday. They told him what he needed for wardrobe but did not tell him what the gig was about (not uncommon if the shoot will be outdoors and/or they don't want to draw a crowd. He's in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, for example, and the gig was described as a small independent movie). Anyway he gets there and they tell him that he's a member of antife and he's supposed to stand with some other people and be real excited when a limo pulls up -- but they don't tell him who's in the limo. Well, the limo pulls up and a Joe Biden look-alike gets out of the limo, and he's being held up by people to imply he's a puppet. He's also in a later scene inside an embassy party (dressed like a partygoer, not a black clad antife member) where a bunch of Asians stand behind the limp Biden look-alike and pull strings and make his arms move to show he's a puppet controlled by the Chinese. Your basic fear-mongering commercial aimed at Wisconsin.

I used to write a lot of industrial videos and one of the production houses I worked with does a LOT of commercials this time of year for both sides. They are really conflicted but they can't ever say no and expect to stay in business.

	1:36pm doctorjazz: I saw The Shaggs at the Solid Sound Festival a couple of years ago. They were...interesting (the main appeal was seeing how real musicians managed to play "badly"; it's hard, like deliberately singing out of tune).
	1:38pm sphere: i never thought that the Shaggs were playing badly. they were just playing by a set of rules that were at a tangent to the ones that others used.
	1:38pm David in London: Handy, I had a craving day recently for the first time in years. It’s been 12 years and 21 days for me. Gets you when you don’t expect it.

	1:45pm David in London: Mary, we played with Jandek at the incubus festival in 2009. He was amazing, sitting at the piano. An enormously large man fell asleep / passed out on his piano halfway through, and he didn’t even seem to notice.

	2:03pm Handy Haversack: Mary, her tooth fractured. Apparently, fractured teeth from COVID-stress-induced grinding is a thing these days! Two trips to Manhattan yesterday for emergency work. But she's feeling a ton better. Michael, I did, and she's really touched.

	12:13pm Phillippe Bastille: Funny thing happened on the way to the forum: My middle son does some acting on the side, and he got a call to go on a shoot Sunday. They told him what he needed for wardrobe but did not tell him what the gig was about (not uncommon if the shoot will be outdoors and/or they don't want to draw a crowd. He's in the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, for example, and the gig was described as a small independent movie). Anyway he gets there and they tell him that he's a member of antife and he's supposed to stand with some other people and be real excited when a limo pulls up -- but they don't tell him who's in the limo. Well, the limo pulls up and a Joe Biden look-alike gets out of the limo, and he's being held up by people to imply he's a puppet. He's also in a later scene inside an embassy party (dressed like a partygoer, not a black clad antife member) where a bunch of Asians stand behind the limp Biden look-alike and pull strings and make his arms move to show he's a puppet controlled by the Chinese. Your basic fear-mongering commercial aimed at Wisconsin.
