@dale I had a weird unexplained taste in my mouth for about a week once and traced it back to pine nuts. Learned from the internet it's known as Pine Mouth Syndrome.

When I eat walnuts, part of the roof of my mouth swells up, like a canker or something. Banana bread with a few walnuts doesn't affect anything.
