Dutch beat, rock and pop, roughly between 1960 - 1980. We not only focus on shocking blue earrings washing up the sandy coast after tea, but we're also getting our shoes wet digging up nits from a kayak with our supersister

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm Lizardner Dave 2:

It's a beautiful day here in the NYC area! Hope you and yours are well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:18pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, here in Zwolle we have an exceptional warm and sunny september, not too warm though except for yesterday, :-)
Avatar 12:24pm Domenic:

Beautiful day here in New England. the sunsets look hazy from the fires 3,000 miles away....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Domenic!
Avatar 12:25pm worldsworstrecords:

Hi Jan! Hi Mountaineers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Jan Turkenburg:

Avatar 12:29pm Domenic:

Hello! I have been to Sheena's in a while. Nice to see more shows on the schedule.
  12:32pm Martinibomb:

Hello Jan! Hello Domenic! cough cough.. hope u are less smokey than portland
Avatar 12:35pm worldsworstrecords:

I'm sure I can manage a Shoe (and Ronnie)-free week, Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Heyyyyyyyy Hey Mountaineers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Otis!!!
Avatar 12:37pm Mr Fab:

Wassup, Domenic! We debuted a new show yesterday called "Maraschino Melancholy" - it def has a lounge/tiki vibe to it I'm sure you'll dig.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:38pm Otisss Fodderrr:

First Tunes of the day, tuned in, tuned on.
Avatar 12:38pm worldsworstrecords:

hey Otis, Mr F, MB, Domenic...
Avatar 12:38pm worldsworstrecords:

... and Lizardner Dave 2 of course!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Hola... D and F and D and J with LD2. Sounds like a killer dutch glam band.
Avatar 12:40pm worldsworstrecords:

Dave Dee, Dozy, Fred and Dozy (again) and Jack and Long Davey Too
Avatar 12:40pm Domenic:

Hi Mr Fab, doing OK hitting a virtual job fair at the top of the hour. Have to "study" the schedule, and try to catch up. So happy to see Sheena's growing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Fab, yes! DJ Shangri-La rocked it, selections+playlist and mic breaks. Was listening last night with Sond.
Avatar 12:41pm worldsworstrecords:

I shall check out Maraschino Melancholy later
Avatar 12:43pm Domenic:

Came across WFMU in this pdf about community radio station governance. www.prometheusradio.org...
Avatar 12:44pm Domenic:

page 19...WFMU is apparently "Highly Structured"
Avatar 12:45pm worldsworstrecords:

haha... quite unlike the unstructured chaos of Sheena's Jungle Room
Avatar 12:47pm Mr Fab:

And we're an "educational station"? Well...i do learn a lot about obscure old records here...
Avatar 12:50pm Domenic:

"educational" should be in parenthesis LOL this is a great document about suggestions on how to organize a radio station. We have a low power staion in my city that's "single rule" a small group of us are trying to work with the Mayor to make it more democratic. its the same old story. people love power..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Thanks Domenic, reading now. From my humble experience and respect for other stations I have worked at, WFMU is so, so, so very highly structured.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Or rather structured... I'll say Highly Evolved.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Kayak sounds so much like Yes.
  12:58pm mzmz:

Just out from insane seminar~~~
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi mzmz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01pm Jan Turkenburg:

That's right Otis, Their keyboard-player and composer for the most part joined Camel for quite some years in the time Kayak was disbanded.
Avatar 1:03pm worldsworstrecords:

hey mzmz!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Great long track here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Otisss Fodderrr:

... the Supersister (starred) one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Otisss Fodderrr:

Sheena stepped into the show for a minute here and put on Tielman Brothers. Go Jungle room, go!
Avatar 1:13pm Mr Fab:

Yeah, pretty sure "Tahiti Jungle" was "Hawaiian War Chant"? Or one of those exotic standards.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes, don't know why they called it that way. I double cheked it. Last week I played the live version and that had the right title on the booklet.
Avatar 1:16pm Domenic:

"fungus" LOL!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

***FUNGUS! DID SOMEBODY SAY FUNGUS?!***

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm Fungus Fodderrr:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:27pm Mx. Granny Spicy Fungus(e/em):

what silliness is this?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28pm Jan Turkenburg:

Their biggest hit was"Mam, do you remember the very first time I've had a peanut butter sandwich?"
