Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm

Hey James on the couch, I am in the kitchen!
Avatar 7:00pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

Hey all! Pretty quiet start here but things will pick up...slowlly
Avatar 7:05pm

That throaty sibilance made me think my espresso maker was bubbling over.

Almost done w/ work. Sounds like Ferrari’s late work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm

hi Jesse and all

Jesse Kaminsky:

Hey Brian! There's no way to know that it isn't though, better make a shot to be sure.

Jesse Kaminsky:

Hi northguineahills! welcome to the rest of your day :)
Hi spodiodi!
Avatar 7:13pm

Just got back from camping, which is why the espresso-maker sound is imprinted — along with loon calls.
Avatar 7:14pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

oh cool, I was camping this weekend at white lake in nh, the loons reverberating around the lake were incredible!
Avatar 7:15pm

Lemme know when you do a loon show, btw.
Avatar 7:17pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

I made a long recording but have to see, there was a lot of traffic noise too

Driving home from work. Odd to hear on the highway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm
listener james from westwood:

All-leather loon show?

this is waaaayyy more entertaining than the sound of actual cars going by outside my house... plus when they sync up it's like Im listening in stereo!
Avatar 7:32pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

@james, not ruling it out!
Avatar 7:33pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

@johnzo, haha I'm going to push to add a cattle guard to my street, I feel like I could get a neighborhood consensus
Avatar 7:43pm

We don't have cattle guards, but we do have some goofy little round traffic islands at some intersections.

The cattle seem to think these are roundabouts, which makes for haphazard traffic flow.
Avatar 7:51pm

There was *zero* traffic noise at our "loon lake," but that did mean driving 4.5 hours with a six-year-old in the back seat.

The weather differential, alone, made it worth it.
Avatar 7:57pm

The cattle have decided to clear a path with a chainsaw?
Avatar 7:58pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

There's real rural drama unfolding here
Avatar 8:01pm

If only Gary Larson could illustrate!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm

βrian, that isn't very nice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm

Avatar 8:17pm

@spodiodi: I meant illustrate that track, yo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm

I imagined sitting inside a little stone hut next to the road.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm

i know -- i couldn't resist. i waited 15 minutes resisting... typing... erasing... but i had to send that cirny zinger *ahem* pardon me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm

i think hearing my name on the mic break got me excited enough to let it free
Avatar 8:20pm

Well, the internet *is* for corn, after all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm

makes sense, since the internet mostly runs on linux, and linux runs on kernels
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm

like this KTL
Avatar 8:30pm

Finally back from work. All I ate today was literally peanuts. Picked up some tamales. Le sigh, la vida un lhotel...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm

wb, ngh. to your tamales.
Avatar 8:34pm

Seeing Ellen Fullman live is still on my bucket list. (10-20 m strings put in a gallery, and have her stoke them w/ resin to sound like Eliane Radiague/Phil Niblock....
Avatar 8:37pm

Room 40 is an excellent record label. They are based originally in Melbourne, Australia, and put out a dear friend of mine's (dj olive) first electro-acoustic turntabiliezed record.
Avatar 8:37pm

(and their roster of musicians spans the globe......
Avatar 8:49pm

screenless decompression is a lost art, enjoy!
Avatar 8:58pm

New Thomas Koner! And enjoying this Greg Fox! (I think, new to me?)
