Avatar 6:06pm Rev. Otis F. Odder:

The Subgenius Slack cup has runneth over.
Avatar 6:06pm spodiodi:

heard you talk about marathon time for a few seconds then it went back to other audio (opening track?)
Avatar 6:06pm Don-O:

NOTE: If this show gets ALL screwed up, I plan to get a FMU tech place a complete unscrewed up copy here during the weekend.
Avatar 6:07pm spodiodi:

Oatsi Fodi!
Avatar 6:07pm spodiodi:

and some forbidden zone into just now
Avatar 6:07pm Don-O:

spod, it's the back up show while my NEW show get cut in and out due to, in this case, bad internet connection....which I'm experiencing right now...
Avatar 6:08pm spodiodi:

he may be a little man, but he carries a big stick
Avatar 6:08pm spodiodi:

ach! thanks for the explaination. i like it all choppy, mahself
Avatar 6:09pm spodiodi:

the guys are scary, but the girls look really fine. say it DE
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Rich in Washington:

This reminds me. I made a completely chopped up version of the Forbidden Zone theme while testing some software years ago. I should spool it up for my show later.
Avatar 6:09pm Don-O:

NORMALLY, I don't mind either (I've heard enough Over The Edge shows in past decades) but as this is my show and it is not my intention....it's a bit of a heartbreak.....grrrrr.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm Aitch:

I'm growing fond of the real-time random glitching, makes your show even more disturbing
Avatar 6:10pm spodiodi:

it's delicious limonada, Don-O!
Avatar 6:11pm spodiodi:

hello again, Rich in Washington!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm Rich in Washington:

Hi spodiodi!
Avatar 6:11pm Don-O:

Hey, Rich!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm Rich in Washington:

Hi Don-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm Rich in Washington:

Kipper Kids!
Avatar 6:14pm spodiodi:

love that picolo trumpet (if that's what it is :D )
Avatar 6:14pm spodiodi:

i can whistle along to every note, but not sure of the horn
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14pm Rich in Washington:

This film was my introduction to the wonderful and wild world of the Kipper Kids. Decades later I corresponded with the late Brian Routh, one of the Harrys.
Avatar 6:14pm spodiodi:

oh man. it's hard to work when this is on
Avatar 6:16pm spodiodi:

RIch... that's cool! i had a friend almost call DE from my desk phone one day (i stopped him... had no idea what i'd say to such a hero of mine)
Avatar 6:17pm Don-O:

JUST the thing to get Xanadu out of my system....though temporarily....
Avatar 6:18pm spodiodi:

i really need to restrain myself from yacking all over this chat about this soundtrack
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm Rich in Washington:

I got to meet Richard Elfman at a local theatre when he was screening the sequel to FZ, but I unfortunately couldn't stay for the film itself!
Avatar 6:19pm spodiodi:

v.cool, Rich!
Avatar 6:20pm Don-O:

Rich, why did Randy colorized FZ?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20pm Rich in Washington:

Has anyone seen it? Did it get released or was he just showing it roadshow style like he was doing that night. I'm curious.
Avatar 6:23pm Don-O:

Hervey!!
Avatar 6:24pm spodiodi:

kipper kids really shine here
Avatar 6:24pm spodiodi:

smiles
Avatar 6:28pm spodiodi:

*blesses self and bows to The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo*

thank you, Don-O! a completely fresh choppy rendition :D nice to hear it that way, truly
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i remember when this film came out!
6:29pm Kat in Chicago in the app:

Combustible Edison show would be excellent
Avatar 6:30pm Don-O:

There needs to be a Mystic Knights box set!!! I know there's a bootleg collection but what about the rest of us!!!
Avatar 6:30pm Don-O:

UPDATE: There WILL be a Edison show next week!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm Rich in Washington:

Oh GAWD! Blueshammer!
Avatar 6:31pm Rev. Otis F. Odder:

Used to blast that Four Rooms CD in my pink VW with fuzzy black carpeted interior in Reno in 1996.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i can't believe i missed the Forbidden Zone set! Love that film! Witches Egg is my favorite song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Rich in Washington:

I used to volunteer at my radio station's booth during the city's annual waterfront blues festival and we'd always joke about all the white boy blues bands who sounded like Blueshammer. So. Many. Bad. Blues. Bands.
Avatar 6:32pm Rev. Otis F. Odder:

The lord Jesus Christ just butted into the stream, again. That silly billy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Rich in Washington:

my favorite scene of the movie, btw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm Rich in Washington:

That jesus is everywhere.
Avatar 6:33pm Don-O:

This makes you look like Steve Bushimi!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

blueshammer had too much fun doing that
Avatar 6:34pm spodiodi:

hear, hear, Don-O @ 630
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:35pm Rich in Washington:

Poor Seymour. Destined to walk the earth alone with only his old Ragtime and Blues 78s and racially questionable old timey artwork.
Avatar 6:36pm spodiodi:

ello ello again, Kat and Granny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm Rich in Washington:

I've been to old timey record collectors gatherings: Ghost World 100% accurate.
  6:36pm Martinibomb:

hello Don-O!
Avatar 6:37pm Don-O:

OH! Good Hello to everybody else who arrived at this bonfire!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

hey there, spodiodi! great to see you here, there, and anywhere!
Avatar 6:37pm spodiodi:

Matnibomb! i wanted to ask: what are you using to make Dave the Seagul? Unity?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm Rich in Washington:

Oh, SO WEIRD, Don-O! I literally JUST pulled the Butthole Surfers LP with this track on it out to play today!
Avatar 6:38pm spodiodi:

*blush*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm Rich in Washington:

Hey there, Mx. Granny!
  6:38pm Martinibomb:

@Spodiodi Gamemaker2.3 tho I also love Pico-8 and Godot -- I kinda go between the three
Avatar 6:38pm Don-O:

Hey, MBomb!....and Hat....Otis....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm Aitch:

A bit of Rembrant Pussyhorse? A fave
Avatar 6:39pm spodiodi:

my mother wold not approve of their name!
Avatar 6:39pm Don-O:

Rich, what Butthole album did this track come from!?
Avatar 6:40pm spodiodi:

thanks, Martinibomb.. i don't know them, and have only really poked at unity (had a couple of game ideas) -- anyway, thank you. looking fwd to Dave!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

howdy, Rich! i'm almost finally waking up today
  6:41pm Martinibomb:

@Spodiodi I highly recommend Pico-8 so check that out
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm Rich in Washington:

Rembrandt Pussyhorse. Their second LP.
Avatar 6:41pm spodiodi:

i like that kind of advice best, Mbomb. solid B-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm Rich in Washington:

Oh, I see Aitch answered the question. Hi Aitch!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm Aitch:

Hey Rich. Hear you soon.
Avatar 6:44pm spodiodi:

while i'm begging: can anyone recommend software for a total novie to attempt to make a mashup? i'm familiar with linear digital video and audio editing, but i'd probably just use Ardour or garageband, not knowing any better (and too lazy to research and evaluate much (if anything)) </begging>
Avatar 6:45pm spodiodi:

i'll be mashing only 2 tracks into one
Avatar 6:45pm spodiodi:

(i guess that's a traditional mashup anyway)
  6:45pm Martinibomb:

@spodiodi Reaper is free. I use Ableton for what you want
Avatar 6:45pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):

Spodi... Ableton Live is my fav
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Rich in Washington:

You could probably play with (free) Audacity. It has multitrack and pitch bending capabilities. But yes, similarly, Reaper is awesome.
Avatar 6:46pm Don-O:

(taking notes fer later)
Avatar 6:46pm spodiodi:

Reaper,eh? i love free. I've bumped around in ableton... i don't remember much (of it, or anything)
  6:46pm Martinibomb:

if you're on PC ACID is still pretty useful for that stuff too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm Rich in Washington:

Reaper is sort of free. it nags you but you don't actually HAVE to buy a license.
Avatar 6:46pm spodiodi:

will check it out, and thanks again, mb!
Avatar 6:47pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):

I used ACID pretty heavy pre-Live, in 2000-2002. Before that Making Waves and Trackers. Today, Live and for editor Audition.
Avatar 6:47pm spodiodi:

i have machines with mac, linx, and win. (try to avoid using windows, for the most part)
Avatar 6:48pm spodiodi:

keep it for games mostly
Avatar 6:48pm spodiodi:

wow, that was fast! THANKS, DON-O!
  6:48pm Martinibomb:

A little early -- what? You can't leave early? YOu got 12 more mins
Avatar 6:48pm spodiodi:

thanks too, Otis!
Avatar 6:48pm Don-O:

Looks like I WILL have the FMU tech people to replace this cut-up edition with a clean copy!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Rich in Washington:

Only my parole officer calls me Richard, Don-O.
  6:49pm Martinibomb:

@spodiodi same here I use all 3 heheh
Avatar 6:49pm Don-O:

THIS guy in a few minutes: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Kat in Chicago:

Thanks for the Crap, Don-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar 6:50pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):

Ditto. Thanks for the earfull of crap Don-O! Slack be with ye!
Avatar 6:50pm Don-O:

Sorry, I confused you with Richard Dawson.....
Avatar 6:51pm spodiodi:

was he getting fresh with you, Don-O?
Avatar 6:51pm spodiodi:

Dawson : The Amorous One
Avatar 6:53pm Don-O:

Some pointless SubGenuis coming up after this track
Avatar 6:54pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):

Richard Dawson did Apples & Oranges (not that one) so he will forever have Slack and hot does sans-buns, fnord.
Avatar 6:55pm spodiodi (rat bastard):

i have dull "Crumb" trivia i'll need to let free at some point
Avatar 6:55pm spodiodi (rat bastard):

next stop: Bat Country
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Rich in Washington:

Oh, he DID. I forgot about that. Darryl!
Avatar 6:57pm spodiodi (rat bastard):

we holy folk need to stick together
Avatar 6:58pm spodiodi (rat bastard):

quality crap. almost like it needs a second "p" and an "e" as well
  6:58pm Martinibomb:

We still need an Hour of Slack show on Sheena
Avatar 6:58pm Don-O:

I'm Goat Boy No. 13 (I figured there got to be more than enough Bill Hicks fanboys in the Slack ranks)
Avatar 6:58pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):

Rev Spodi!
Avatar 6:59pm spodiodi (rat bastard):

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59pm Aitch:

Avatar 6:59pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):

Avatar 7:00pm Don-O:

Avatar 7:01pm Rev. Otis F. Odder (fun is my middle name):
