A three-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity's hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet - all mixed live. We don't judge, we just play 'em. Hosted by Rich in Washington.

Hello, Rich and not Rich!

In the Fun House
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm Rich in Washington:

I haven't even listened to this yet. Was sorta saving it for this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Rich in Washington:

The Stooges album Fun House saved my life. Long story, but I assure you it's true!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm Kat in Chicago:

I believe that, whatever the story may be.
Avatar 7:08pm solo mon:

Rich hayyyy!
  7:09pm CC:

Well... people might associate it with a house party nowadays...that gets a bad rap!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Rich in Washington:

Kat!
solo mon! Was swell actually meeting you in person yesterday!
Avatar 7:10pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

It is hard to define whether that look on mr Asheton's face is that of a cool cat or that of a bored person. He is the man even if no longer here)!
Avatar 7:11pm solo mon:

ARB! GrAnny!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Ha ha that Buddy Bradley comic!
ho solo mon!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm ARB:

Hola Solo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Rich in Washington:

Sad that both Ashton Bros. are no longer with us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Rich in Washington:

That particular Buddy comic really spoke to me as a teenager.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Rich in Washington:

Got to meet Peter Bagge a couple of years ago. Seemed nice, for someone who espouses an Ayn Randian philosophy in his private live.
Avatar 7:13pm solo mon:

Oops forgot to adjust my advatar ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Rich: he was the first cartoon character of our generation, mannnnn
Avatar 7:14pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

That strip unfortunately speaks to me every day, especially nowadays, as people seem to avoid keeping safe distances. Why did I ever leave my house.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm ultradamno:

Did "bring it down" and "let me in" start as shouted plays on the field to the group that just became actual lyrics?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Rich: i have great ambivalence about Pete Bagge. I've met him and we have a lot of mutual friends, but ultimately, i'll just stick to enjoying his work. I do appreciate that he's doing that series of graphic biographies of overlooked but influential women.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm ultradamno:

@Rich Eww, didn't know that of Bagge.
Avatar 7:15pm solo mon:

Yes now I can add one more person to the list of sheenas folx I know in real life 1- granny 2- Martinibomb 3- Rich !
Avatar 7:15pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@7:14 ultradamno: the box set of Fun House sessions might answer that question. Sooooo many versions of each song, I have never gone throught the whole set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm ultradamno:

I did have a vomit glossary shirt that was a real conversation starter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

solo mon: collect them all! chrestikins and Franco Twinkie visited me at my house last year!
Avatar 7:17pm solo mon:

Wow granny! That’s cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

unfortuately, Kitten Sparkles is also someone i know IRL. ;-P
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

(i say that because he can take it)
Avatar 7:17pm solo mon:

Granny LOL ;-)
  7:17pm CC:

I'm pretty sure that it's almost 18 minutes after the hour?!?...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm ARB:

Solo was that your first time meeting Rich?
Avatar 7:18pm solo mon:

ARB it was ! Would love to meet you in person someday too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm ARB:

I know Kitten, Mr Fab and Spacebrother IRL, and met listeners Franco & Chresti for a social distance cherry pit spit in their yard
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i want to have an ARBsinthe party with you all
Avatar 7:20pm solo mon:

I’m obsessed with time outs on the chat rooms granny since you mentioned that yesterday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm ARB:

I am sure me and DJ Henry crossed paths multiple times over my decade living in Minneapolis but I don't know him irl
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm ARB:

I've been thinking about that time out too, and laughing!
Avatar 7:20pm Mr Fab:

Well Rich, “Fun House” is certainly one of the most ass-kicking rock n roll albums ever, so one of these days you gotta tell us how it saved your life. (“Last Night a Protopunk Band Saved My Life”?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20pm ARB:

Solo I am sure we will, and Granny of course we will!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

solo mon: here's how to do it: go onto Pseu's show and post a lot of off-topic personal goofball stuff
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm ARB:

It seems like it would be cruel and unusual since this is now my entire social life
Avatar 7:22pm solo mon:

Lol same.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm Kat in Chicago:

Velvet Goldmine is worth watching. I should revisit it sometime.
Avatar 7:23pm solo mon:

Da da da
Avatar 7:24pm Mr Fab:

I didn’t care much for Velvet Goldmine. Great music tho.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

somebody covered this? i've been meaning to put da da da on my karaoke list
Avatar 7:24pm solo mon:

Susie Andrews yeah she rocks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm ARB:

This would be my kinda karaoke track
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm ultradamno:

Should Iggy's Blah Blah Blah be next to bookend this?
Avatar 7:25pm solo mon:

She also does a killer version of ice bear by Grauzone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm ultradamno:

PS doing this and Jane Blank on public access www.youtube.com...
Avatar 7:26pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@7:23 Kat in Chicago: I stupidly ignored a chance to revisit it on glorious 35mm recently. I usually watch anything that is on old decaying film reels.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

what Cratediggers faves need to be in the Sheena's tarot?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm ARB:

Probably Laibach
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:28pm Kat in Chicago:

@Photocopy I saw it on VHS, haha
Avatar 7:28pm solo mon:

I revisited Velvet G recently and it has actually aged pretty well.
Avatar 7:29pm solo mon:

I had to introduce Todd at an awards show earlier this year so I re watched all of his films.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm Rich in Washington:

Whoops. Got ahead of myself.
Avatar 7:30pm solo mon:

“Had to” means “I got to” it was a great honor lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm ARB:

I would nominate Laibach and Fred Lane to represent Cratediggers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm Rich in Washington:

i should bring up my musical 'cloud' graphic. Negativland and Laibach are fairly prominent, yes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i like this!!!
Avatar 7:32pm solo mon:

I mentioned negativeland earlier
  7:32pm CC:

I've heard Runners tell me that when they're on heavy speed they're running along and they stop and look back and see themselves catch up with themselves???...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i was just running the blender, too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm ARB:

oh yeah negativland definitely, second that
Avatar 7:33pm solo mon:

Love crash course
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Which card would Negativeland be? Maybe the lightning suit of innovators? 10 of Mics?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm ARB:

is there a way to view most played artists by show?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm ultradamno:

A Waaves and SWMRS cut up called SWMRS In the Waaves
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

CL artists: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar 7:35pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@7:29 solo mon: lucky you - for me it would not be rewatching as Velevet G aside I have only seen Superstar and Carol which is odd as he interests me as a director - and only recently I heard he is the director of a Velvet Underground doc which is not out yet.
Avatar 7:35pm solo mon:

XTC
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Flying Lizards
Avatar 7:36pm solo mon:

Has Yma Sumac been said yet?
Avatar 7:36pm solo mon:

I’d vote for flying lizards
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm ARB:

I hope you get to introduce Todd Solondz someday
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Yma Sumac queen of Tiki Torches? Except Joe Meek has that card already
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i'm putting all of these in the Trello to sort out later
Avatar 7:38pm solo mon:

Hahah Joe will not give up that tiara no way
Avatar 7:38pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

I'm the only film nerd on this planet who has never seen a Todd Solondz movie - no, not even Happiness.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm ARB:

my show would probably be Connie Francis lol, and Little Willie John
Avatar 7:39pm solo mon:

ARB Todd Solondz I love him. Happiness was fantastic. Welcome to the dollhouse was a favorite film.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm ARB:

Photocopy, I prefer the sequel to Happiness (Life During Wartime) and you don't need to see Happiness first
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm ultradamno:

Watch Welcome To The Dollhouse, you'll at least get a new favorite, could have been an Alice Cooper, song out of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm ARB:

But yes happiness IS fantastic, he has an incredible knack for discomfort
Avatar 7:40pm solo mon:

I really loved Dark Horse by Todd solondz a fine film.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

9 of Records wouldn't be bad for Yma
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm ultradamno:

Palindromes is really great too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm ARB:

Can Yma be King of tiki torches?
Avatar 7:41pm solo mon:

Yes palindromes was great actually I loved weinerdog as well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

ARB: YES
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

if we move Martin Denny
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm ARB:

Storytelling very good Solondz too
  7:42pm CC:

I'm not much into movies but you can always talk me into watching The Doors movie by Oliver Stone any day!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm ARB:

Martin can be a measly Page
Avatar 7:42pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

Thanks - even if I have literally thousands (yes, thousands unfortunately) of films I have yet to see on hard-drives and dvd-r's, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm ultradamno:

Wouldn't King of Tiki Torches (a title whose currency dropped precipitously a few years ago) be a step down from Queen Of Exotica?
Avatar 7:43pm solo mon:

Hahaha ultradamno we are trying to take back torches!
Avatar 7:44pm solo mon:

Yay more Suzie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm ARB:

I'm excited for the upcoming Charlie Kauffman film
  7:44pm CC:

Groovy tune here!!!...:)
Avatar 7:44pm solo mon:

Yeah that looks good. My fav film from last year was called in fabrics has anyone else seen that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm ARB:

Haven't, I'll try to track it down
Avatar 7:46pm solo mon:

It’s about a weird mannequin cult that runs a department store?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46pm ARB:

is it on the criterion channel?
Avatar 7:47pm solo mon:

Hm no I think it’s just on regular old amazon.
  7:47pm CC:

I remember watching a movie called The Naked Lunch...I felt like I was having a flashback!?!...:)
Avatar 7:48pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

OK, I should watch that - especially interested as it is by Peter Strickland whose Berberian Sound Studio interested me as well (especially since the soundtrack is by Broadcast!!!!!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm ARB:

I revisited Naked Lunch a couple months ago, it's one of my favorites!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

ultradamno: i think "exotica" has also lost favor lately
Avatar 7:49pm solo mon:

Velvet Goldmine is good but not even close to my fav Todd Haynes film. That for me is Safe and it is sooooo chillingly good to watch in 2020 and it IS on criterion. Stunning film.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:50pm ARB:

oh cool, gonna check that out!
  7:50pm CC:

I kind of like the documentary about Charles Bukowski?!?...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

so Martin is a measly Page and Yma has assumed the throne of the king!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm ultradamno:

@granny, not so dramatically, though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm ARB:

I found In Fabric on soulseek
Avatar 7:51pm solo mon:

Yes photocopy Berberian is great as well as duke of burgundy
Avatar 7:51pm solo mon:

Granny I think that’s perfect, for our utopia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i am all for mutating this tarot in any way we please
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm ultradamno:

Though if I'm wrong, Voice Of The Xtabay is a solid superlative.
Avatar 7:52pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@7:49 ARB: like I said I love aged film copies and I saw Naked Lunch from one a couple of years ago. Liked it very much which is surprising as I have to admit David Cronenberg is not exactly my favourite director of all time as it were. Nor is William Burroughs my favourite writer. Yes, I know, I have a horrible taste.
Avatar 7:53pm solo mon:

Duke of Burgundy soundtrack is by Cats Eye.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Plastic Bertrand needs a card!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Yvang:

Plastic uses a lot the rhymes in "ic"
  7:54pm CC:

Lord of the Flies is the movie that always makes me lose faith in mankind!!!...:)
Avatar 7:54pm solo mon:

Naked Lunch I hated it when it came out but rewatched it years later and loved it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56pm ultradamno:

@Photocopy You like Roy Andersson? Like Buñuel covering Monty Python's Meaning Of Life
Avatar 7:56pm BeaT'cha:

hi Rich!!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Before DEVO went Disney
Avatar 7:57pm solo mon:

Suzie Andrews album is actually one of my favorite 80s albums it’s really fun weird and not all covers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm ultradamno:

The warm California sun ruins everything.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm ARB:

I didn't like Holy Mountain when I first saw it, moods can really affect perception
  7:58pm CC:

Clan of the Cave Bear ain't too bad!!!...:)
Avatar 7:58pm BeaT'cha:

thanks for the shoutout! yeahhhh hanging in there
  7:59pm CC:

I heard that Jackson Browne made a cameo appearance???...:)
Avatar 7:59pm BeaT'cha:

sounding great Rich!
Avatar 7:59pm solo mon:

Jodorowsky is beautiful but tough to watch some times. Brutality and that T masc rear it’s ugly head.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm ARB:

The perpetual Jesus man of Jodorowsky gets on my nerves too
Avatar 8:00pm solo mon:

I HATED every Tarantino movie I’ve ever seen except Jackie Brown and that isn’t changed no matter my mood.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm ultradamno:

I like Santa Sangre a lot, but don't really connect to his mysticism and he's kind of dick.
Avatar 8:01pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@7:56 ultradamno: I wish I could say anything about him. I have "A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence" and perhaps some other movie from him in my collection waiting to be watched. So many movies and just one lifetime....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:01pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

my three word review of Jodorowsky's "spiritual memoirs" was "Grandpa's Brag Book"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02pm ultradamno:

Try Songs From The Second Floor. Mandatory.

Pulp Fiction is brilliant, I will not budge. Trash the rest, I don't really care.
Avatar 8:02pm BeaT'cha:

this is great
  8:02pm CC:

Yeah... so much music and so little time!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:02pm Rich in Washington:

thanks, BeaT'cha! Glad to see you here! Hope all is well with you!
Avatar 8:02pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

is that crackle'n'pop intentional, due to my internet connection or....
Avatar 8:03pm BC Sterrett:

Hey Cratediggers, just listening while I work in the background on school stuff. Great show :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03pm Rich in Washington:

I think Jackie Brown is Tarantino's best film, and not just because I love Pam Grier.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03pm Rich in Washington:

Hmmm. Maybe overloading a bit?
Avatar 8:03pm BeaT'cha:

you're welcome Rich! Glad to be here... sorry i'm late :D
Hoping the whole damn state doesnt burn up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:03pm Rich in Washington:

Thanks, BC! Dug your show today! it was amazing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04pm ultradamno:

It's good, but not even the best Elmore Leonard adaptation I've seen. The silly repeating mall sequence kills the third act for me.
Avatar 8:04pm solo mon:

I am more into the color of pomegranates as that kind of film making its far superior to jodorowsky
Avatar 8:05pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

I was quite amazed to learn there was plans for Jodorowsky to direct a film based on Genesis' The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Avatar 8:05pm BeaT'cha:

me too.. love his film style and the films are truly beautiful
  8:05pm CC:

Sometimes I wonder just how important popular opinion really is???...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:05pm Rich in Washington:

Oh yeah, Pomegranates is amazing!
Avatar 8:05pm solo mon:

If you haven’t seen color of pomegranates put it to top of list the most amazing lyrical film.
Avatar 8:05pm BeaT'cha:

love sergei
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm ARB:

Since we've all turned into film critics I'm going back to using my Ice Cream Guy Maddin avatar from yesterdays Primal Ice Cream/Eye Scream
Avatar 8:06pm BeaT'cha:

his other films are wonderful too and his artwork is amazing too
Avatar 8:06pm solo mon:

Ultradamno agreed I’m just grading on a Tarantino curve hahah
  8:06pm CC:

I think somebody should make a film about kumquats???...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm Rich in Washington:

I found that Holy Mountain just blew me away from start to finish but then it didn't hold up so well on subsequent viewings for some reason. I think it was just the shock and awe of the visuals but once I already saw them, it wasn't as mindblowing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:06pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Matmos could be in the Lightning suit
Avatar 8:06pm BeaT'cha:

loving this craziness Rich!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Photocopy Cha Cha 2000: whaaaa?!? WOW
PS: The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is in the karaoke collection of my KJ queerheart.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07pm ultradamno:

I like Guy Maddin so much I bought the My Winnipeg book.
Avatar 8:08pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

I'd love to see Eight Hours Don't Make a Day, but it is so expensive as a DVD/blu-ray and my ancient setup does not support Criterion. Fassbinder fan, me.
Avatar 8:08pm solo mon:

Also Vera Chytilova for best lyrical films Daisies is great but Garden of Paradise is my favorite of hers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

BeaT'cha: looked at the fire map today and it's rather distressing
Avatar 8:09pm solo mon:

Sorry Fruit of Paradise
Avatar 8:09pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@8:07 Mx. Granny (e/em): yes, I was quite surprised - especially as there were plans for this involving Peter Gabriel AFTER leaving Genesis, at least based on an interview. It never went further than a second draft.
Avatar 8:09pm BeaT'cha:

indeed! this has been a terrible year for California with all the fires
Avatar 8:09pm solo mon:

I’m so sad abt the fires.
Avatar 8:10pm BeaT'cha:

Fruit of paradise is my fav
Avatar 8:10pm BeaT'cha:

today i didnt even want to get out of bed... it's incredibly depressing
Avatar 8:10pm solo mon:

BeaT cha I am so happy you love it, nobody knows abt that film!
Avatar 8:11pm BeaT'cha:

i did a radio show inspired by it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm Rich in Washington:

Oh wow. I've never heard of that. it looks really cool!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm ARB:

I preemptively evacuated California, if there was a hurricane in Iowa- California is fucked
  8:12pm CC:

Yeah... they blame all these fires on lightning?!?...
Avatar 8:12pm solo mon:

Oh wow really? I’ve been trying to locate a soundtrack for ever. I wanted to use it as reference for my new project
Avatar 8:12pm solo mon:

ARB where are you??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm ultradamno:

@Photocopy got around to my blu-ray of Fox & His Friends a couple of weeks ago. So good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm ARB:

Avatar 8:13pm solo mon:

Avatar 8:14pm BeaT'cha:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm Otis Fodder:

Hey diggers and Rich-a-Roni, the San Francisco and beyond treat. Rolling off the couch. Matmos is my perfect soundtrack for post-dental extraction existance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

apparently we're getting more lightning in a few day
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm Rich in Washington:

There's like three hours worth!
Avatar 8:14pm BeaT'cha:

perfect!!!!!
Avatar 8:16pm solo mon:

No more lightening please!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Rich in Washington:

i just bought this yesterday with my record purge money.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Rich in Washington:

OTIS! Howdy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Avatar 8:17pm solo mon:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm ARB:

Yo Oats!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:17pm Rich in Washington:

Do check out BeaT'cha's shows. You're in for a treat!
Avatar 8:17pm solo mon:

I was abt to ask BeaT’cha thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm ARB:

@Rich, check Slack
Avatar 8:18pm BeaT'cha:

thanks Rich! Youre welcome solo
Avatar 8:18pm solo mon:

I wonder if there’s any tree foam in Mexico City?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm Oats Sodder:

Would have made it earlier today, lots to catch up on and BC with a singles show I see, gonna be soundtrackin' it up this weekend.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19pm Rich in Washington:

Oh. There is some kind of popping sound, huh? I can hear it in the stream.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

Oats: you just got dentised, too. I'm still a little off from Tuesday's excitement
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm ARB:

There's pulque, that's like cactus foam
Avatar 8:20pm solo mon:

Yeah there is. It sounded more appropriate with the matmos
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Rich in Washington:

shit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Mx. Granny (e/em):

i thought it WAS the Matmos!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Oats Sodder:

Will go into it more on my show on Tuesday, but let's just say.. Immediate Dentures. Fuzzy Fodder.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm Rich in Washington:

Dang. I ratcheted my levels down thinking that was it. Doesn't seem to have helped, though.
Avatar 8:21pm BeaT'cha:

lol
  8:21pm CC:

Kind of reminds me of the joke where somebody walks up to someone and ask them do you know anything about real estate and a person says well a little and the guy looks down and says does this look like a lot?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm Rich in Washington:

I'll see about restoring the archive after the show. Sorry folks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm ARB:

It started right when you came on the mic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:21pm Rich in Washington:

The first time?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm ARB:

if that is a clue?
Avatar 8:22pm BeaT'cha:

i thought the snap crackle pop was intentional
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm Oats Sodder:

It's not bad Rich, keep going. Mixes in well with Craig Leon and I bet your archive will be solid. Might just be the stream... but it's minimal and actually FITS with the stuff you play. Life is static, heh.
Avatar 8:22pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

@8:12 ultradamno: he got some hate from fellow gay people for the film - I don't see it is particularly homophobic film, only very cynical about the nature of relationships. He himself seemed to be quite demanding, perhaps narcissistic person to be with. I was not there of course, but this is the picture I get reading his contemporaries thoughts on him.
Avatar 8:22pm BeaT'cha:

its def complimentary
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm ultradamno:

Quiet Riot's drummer died. Making the riot that much quieter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22pm ARB:

but it's mild! not too detracting at all!
Avatar 8:23pm solo mon:

It’s the curtain lady crinkling plastic bags and saying sooo pretty
Avatar 8:23pm BeaT'cha:

hahhaa ultra
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm Oats Sodder:

Solo - YES!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm ultradamno:

@photocopy The main complaint seemed to be that they were depicted as too cutting of one another in their remarks (it's covered in the supplements). Who could imagine?
Avatar 8:25pm BeaT'cha:

i needed this today..
  8:26pm CC:

I was thinking everything must have been on vinyl???...:)
Avatar 8:26pm BeaT'cha:

ha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:27pm Rich in Washington:

Yeah, that's it! It's all on clicky, poppy vinyl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29pm Rich in Washington:

Dang. Thanks for sticking with me folks. Pretend it's on AM radio in a metal building or something.
Avatar 8:30pm BeaT'cha:

it's ok Rich.. great set!
Avatar 8:30pm solo mon:

It has been a great show Rich, seriously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm ARB:

I'm pretending it's playing on the drive-in theater radio box in a Buick
Avatar 8:31pm solo mon:

Your show turned us all into art film critics!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm Rich in Washington:

I'll hand everyone an adhesive Gene Shallit mustache on the way out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:32pm ultradamno:

God forbid an opinion on an opinion board.
Avatar 8:32pm BeaT'cha:

YES!
Avatar 8:32pm solo mon:

Hahaha
  8:32pm CC:

I thought it had that nice rich deep analog sound to it anyway...Rich!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm Rich in Washington:

Right! It's not called an affirmation board, after all.
Avatar 8:35pm BeaT'cha:

ooooo love Moroder <3
Avatar 8:36pm solo mon:

I’m not going to recommend In Fabrics to my Aunt from Florida, this is curated opinions lol. Please don’t give me a TO mr fab
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm ARB:

Where in Florida?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:37pm ARB:

My whole family lives in Florida
Avatar 8:37pm solo mon:

She’s dead, ARB but it was in Miami.
  8:38pm CC:

In my humble opinion the governor of Florida is a freaking idiot!!!...:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm ARB:

Oh no, she will never see In Fabric, I'm sorry
Avatar 8:39pm solo mon:

I only met her once and she never asked for any movie recommendations anyways. I used her as a dead hyperbole lol
Avatar 8:39pm solo mon:

Such an idiot CC right up there w the gov of Georgia
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm ARB:

Or the future Congressworm of Georgia
Avatar 8:40pm solo mon:

ARB - I’m afraid she wouldn’t understand the mannequin pubes at all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:40pm ultradamno:

I saw Quiet Riot by the way which makes that not at all a personal loss. Krokus opened and had a horned viking helmet that kept being used to cover the singer's crotch. Two really silly bands.
Avatar 8:41pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

!!!doog sdnuos siht
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm ARB:

Mannequin pubes, enough said, I'm downbloating it now
  8:41pm CC:

Avatar 8:42pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm ARB:

Is Satan a Capricorn?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar 8:50pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

Avatar 8:51pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

OK, I was wrong - it is still there. It is just so quiet there.
Avatar 8:52pm Photocopy Cha Cha 2000:

It seems to depend on the volume of the music.
Avatar 8:52pm BeaT'cha:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm ultradamno:

Did the wings recede up into his back and out his head as horns when he fell?
