Good morning! I'm making pickled eggs. Fresh dill from my neighbour's garden. Slightly under-cooked eggs that are proving hard to peel. I guess I'll let them cool

I am still trying to perfect my pickled egg recipe. I've had great success in the past, but the batch I made this spring did not turn out well. So bad, in fact, that even my nine-year-old son passed on them, and he's been an avid devotee of pickled eggs since before he could walk.

@paul: Not seen 'Yesterday' yet ! That's what if only one guy remembered The Beatles now ...not sure how they deal with what happened to music & culture without them - but I think I'll enjoy it... As both a Beatletard & a Garage Rawk lover - examing what was already happening in the USA interests me.

Thanks for the Gladys Night segment Micheal, though Motown seemingly is historical mainstream, I just don’t hear much of it on the radio anymore, plus it’s in my DNA, where periodic injections are needed, so I’m grateful for that today!
Avatar 12:34pm Hubig Pie:

H. Jack, the pandemic is 6 mo. long now, that be a long time with no TP.

I picture Jack running a gang of hardened TP thieves for the first six months of the pandemic, roaming the Jersey wastes and striking terror into hearts (and other parts) of the TP hoarders, robbing the TP rich and giving to the TP poor.

Roughly accurate?

There's a Kohr's Custard in Fairfield, NJ, well North of the Jersey shore. Doesn't have quite the same sparkle as boardwalk custard, but it will do in a pinch!

  12:44pm Allan Bowley:

HI Michael. I live with Laura Davis-Chanin. Paul Rutner told us you were featuring Student Teachers today. You know she wrote "The Girl in the Back" that brought the band members back together for the book and the launch party. Lost Notes is good but she was a bit disappointed that you played Christina! She had left the band by then and it is not really representative of the core sound! Anyway, enjoying the show. Oh yes, Im British and now retired - in broadcasting for 40 years. Cheers
Avatar 12:45pm Michael Shelley:

She was disappointed... wow
  12:47pm Allan Bowley:

Ha! We are loving the show! Only that track.
  12:47pm DG:

This sounds great....so I assume this is a recording from the "classic" line-up (Al, Joey & co.). Saw one of their amazing shows in '92 at the Bottom Line, and a few years later w/Johnny taking over for Al.
