Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am coelacanth∅:

hello rich, carcassettes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am Threemoons:

Evening, fellow squirrelpeeps and Rich
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04am spodiodi:

(hello rich, glad to be listening)
  12:04am rich:

good whatever time you’re at p-90, chresti, spodiodi, coel, threemoons, scott williams, and you!

Avatar 12:08am slugluv1313:

good evening/morning, rich and skeletons and everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:11am coelacanth∅:

Kunert's pretty clever! some of those things are seriously deep; and some pretty damn funny!
  12:20am rich:

perfect editorial illustration
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:22am Fox:

Good evening, again, everyone! Hello Rich!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25am Fox:

When you have a free moment, would you have any advice / a reading list for my pursuits of regaining my joy of comics?

My Ellis experience 20 years ago really burned me and I wasn't really able to enjoy comics like I used to. Granted, I also went broke at around the same time, and I was disappointed in comics turning into movie pitches instead of the Vertigo / Kitchen Sink Press future that I had envisioned for the medium....
  12:26am rich:

hi fox you are no longer upside-down?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:26am Fox:

I had to take a break. My feet started going numb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27am Fox:

But I attached my shiatsu neck massagey thing to my inversion table, and it's like the greatest migraine killer in the world!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Rich and squirrel-mates!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am Fox:

I love comics that have a real sense of rhytm. Alan Moore is great at that, but so is Bendis. I loved his AKA Goldfish, even though the art was crap.
  12:32am rich:

saga; paper girls; read sattouf's arab of the future volumes; marc bell and glenn ganges assorted work
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am Fox:

Is Saga really worth it? It seems, from looking at it, like painfully thin metaphor.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am Fox:

Pretty covers, though.
  12:38am rich:

it's like jon j. muth's moonshadow which i always liked. it can seem cute sometimes but overall it's a decent read. the black monday murders is also a good read, vertigo-like in a good way
  12:39am rich:

and that is riad sattouf, spellcheck does not like riad
  12:40am rich:

good morning kfhp
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am coelacanth∅:

Thanks for the links -as always, rich -i love that you do it! but i don't like cookies, and instagram wont let me zoom in, or scroll down very far, because i don't have an account... so i often take your suggestion but duckduckgo image search.
these are a few of my favorites. please forgive me -just, these may or may not be on those 2 websites linked.
this guy's a genius!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Fox:

Maybe I'm being too critical of the camera heads.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:42am Fox:

Thank you for the recommendations, Rich! Do you have any classic comics that you feel are not recognized for their brilliance?
  12:43am rich:

feel free coel i used to avoid instagram until it became the only way to see a good representation of some artist's work since many of them no longer have web pages.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45am coelacanth∅:

i've been frustrated a few times. not yet enough to sign up though!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47am Fox:

The lack of website for an artist to have makes me sad, but at the same time, not having to wrestle with website maintenance and instead spending your time actually making the content is understandable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am coelacanth∅:

2 of the image links i posted are the same.
this is the other one i meant to post
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am Fox:

Back to the upsidedown with me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49am coelacanth∅:

damn. feel better Fox.
  12:52am rich:

yes feel better
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59am chresti:

Sounded spectacular, the first set.
Avatar 1:02am slugluv1313:

yes! and always so cool to hear Zap Mama again :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05am chresti:

Love the artist link, reminds me of Michael C McMillan's work,
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10am Cooh John:

Blowin' my mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11am coelacanth∅:

was it just last week you featured another artist that works with a miniature world?
  1:11am rich:

cooh john electric bananas can do that
  1:12am rich:

coel i think it was two or three weeks ago but they all blend together now so maybe it was last week
Avatar 1:12am Mike W:

blow the shadows around,

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:13am Cooh John:

Avatar 1:16am Mike W:

Avatar 1:23am Franco Twinkie:

I saw Pammie with her thumb out on a freeway on ramp with a sign that said Oblivion
  1:27am rich:

franco were you heading in that direction?
Avatar 1:29am Franco Twinkie:

No, I was just going to my moms house to water the plants.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am Cooh John:

rich, leave me enough of my mind.
  1:33am rich:

how much is enough?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34am Cooh John:

to get by until I listen to WFMU again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40am coelacanth∅:

when sonny sent himself careening into oblivion maybe his plan was to see Pammie again
  1:42am rw:

Good evening! Thank you everybody for everything.
  1:43am rw:

Yeah, bummer about Pammie.
  1:44am rich:

coel did sonny careen or carom?
  1:44am rich:

good morning rw
Avatar 1:46am Franco Twinkie:

I say Sonny was pushed, but the people who run things have suppressed the evidence.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:48am coelacanth∅:

hahaha rich yeh maybe a bit of each!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49am coelacanth∅:

hey rw. don't thank me until after you see the outcome.
  1:51am rich:

franco you really think the illuminati gave sonny a push?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51am Cooh John:

Just walk away and I won't get hurt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53am coelacanth∅:

if the republicans (they're the ones who do most of the assassinating, right?) pushed sonny then there's hope after all, regarding ronald mcdonald trump.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55am coelacanth∅:

interesting to hear the original tax free -finally. 'known the Hendrix version for decades
  1:59am rw:

coel, thank you for the advice.
