"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Man, this pandemic is giving me pistachio fingernail injuries.

Dude my fingernails are a mess. I refuse to eat Jell-O and they keep tearing so I can't paint them. I have the right color & everything.
Avatar 10:39am John Allen:

a famous jazz person once said when pistachio fingers are cracked enough to open, you've got jazz hands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am WoodsOfNH:

Poetic. Or something.
Avatar 10:40am John Allen:

WITH the right hands, jazz poetry is powerful.

  10:51am diana:

  10:54am kpx:

there you are, question: who were you directing your expletive spelling rant yesterday on Fabio's show?
10:56am Farmer Rye in Santa Cruz:

hey ja and everyone hope y’all doing well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Crudbringer:

This is reminiscent of Bryce's show the other week with the Japanese garden water harp stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am Crudbringer:

but this is the "order" counterpoint to Bryce's "chaos".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am WoodsOfNH:

Wait, I missed an expletive-filled rant? Dang!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am tim from champaign (now washington):

Whoa, this thumb piano sounding track is Quine and Jody Harris? My already high opinion of Quine just went higher.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05am karlward:

I often wonder how I might get all the Robert Quine music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:05am ParUbi:

Suikinkutsu, @Crudbringer?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:06am Ike:

Who, me?!? Fabio said something about how he needed a "spelling bitch" to correct him, so I tried to make some (probably lame) jokes about that. Never count on copy editors for humor.
  11:08am kpx:

you didn't miss anything woods. it was just an oblique sophomaniac. and it was yesterday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:08am Crudbringer:

...yep ParUbi, that.
  11:12am kpx:

well if that's Ike my mistake. the way it looked I couldn't really tell. just needed to be sure. my apologies!
