Avatar 10:04pm slugluv1313:

yes, beautiful -- only found out about Peter Green earlier today -- damn
Avatar 10:05pm Jeff Conklin:

Ha, no not on LI. Was there for the day yesterday.
  10:05pm Carmichael:

He certainly touched mine.
  10:05pm Kevin Doyle:

Nice selections. Just heard about his passing
  10:07pm Cavalier Record Store:

Had a tape of Peter Green playing with the Dead in my car in high school, that Spanish Jam > Lovelight was the soundtrack to many stoned teenage nights
  10:07pm Dean:

I remember the manager of the record store where I worked opening it when it arrived.
Avatar 10:07pm Jeff Conklin:

I had that tape, too, Cav.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm Pauly from Clifton:

Good evening, Jeff, Skeleton Crew, friends. Saddened to hear this news about PG.
  10:08pm spodiodi:

Avatar 10:18pm slugluv1313:

was transported back in time (late 90s, i guess?) to when i heard this gorgeous, ethereal rendition of "Albatross" at Star Magic (that kinda "new age" shop that used to be on Broadway, near 8th Street in Manhattan -- although it struck me more as a throwback to some of the "hippie" shops of my youth) . . . i had to ask the shop keeper, "Who is this?!?"
and he shows me B-Tribe's "Suave Suave" CD -- which i immediately bought :)
so NOW, as i am sorting through books, also looking for that CD (yeah, "quarantine organizing" not going as swimmingly as i had hoped, hah!)
(always thought B-Tribe was from Spain, only learned somewhat recently that they were based in Germany)
Avatar 10:19pm slugluv1313:

Skyminds, yes, soooooooo gorgeous
  10:23pm dan c:

enjoying the rhythmic but abstract quatlies of this first set. Feels very appropriate for late july.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Gonna keep it on & go horizontal in the dark.
Thx in advance.
  10:32pm Carmichael:

Peter Green, phat. The earlier the better, IMO.
  10:32pm Jeff Conklin:

Peace Rabbit
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm Chop Scott:

Enjoying the show as ever Jeff--thanks!
  10:35pm Carmichael:

Just lit the tiki torches for The Green Manalishi.
  10:36pm Jeff Conklin:

This set is very deserving of tiki
  10:37pm Lucky:

Evening Jeff and all. Listening live, finally.
  10:39pm Jeff Conklin:

Glad to have you, Lucky

And hi to the lurkers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39pm Petricole:

Hi Jeff and angelic creatures. Just returned from a very nice place and have a hunch that this one is going to be sweet too.
  10:40pm Kevin Doyle:

FYI The Dead show with PG was 2/11/70
  10:41pm Lucky:

Sad to hear about Peter Green. His tone was singular.
  10:43pm Chris H:

Lying on the grass in the backyard staring upwards with wonder, this is perfect
  10:44pm P-90:

This Tuluum is like a Frippertronics piece
  10:45pm Jason of Mount Shasta:

Greetings from the holy volcano
  10:46pm phat:

@Carmichael I prefer to make my weekly Conklin Bandcamp purchase to something I'm newly discovering.
  10:47pm Carmichael:

Just kidding, phat. As an old guy, I’m just in a zone ...
  10:48pm Gary:

We marveled at his playing with the Mayall album, and was ready for Fleetood Mac. Lucky to have seen them at the Fillmore East twice.
The Dead and other SF bands greatly influenced his change from the strict blues albums.
Avatar 10:49pm slugluv1313:

ahhhhh Tuluum Shimmering, always sublime
  10:49pm spodiodi:

this Grapefruit sounds great
  10:52pm Chris H:

Yeah, reminds of that Steve Reich/Pat Metheny piece
  10:52pm Chris H:

But ever trippier
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53pm Petricole:

Lovely stuff jc
  10:54pm phat:

@Carmichael I'll never forget hearing Oh Well Part 1 on WAAF in the middle of the night and just marveling.

excellent, Jeff, thank you!
(that is where i was looking)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33pm Blacktooth:

I love dropping in on your show on Sunday nights. But, I have to admit (it's my personal problem) Bandcamp always has $20/$30 dollars of mine after midnight. It's reminiscent when you could cruise a record store for 2 hours and just pick up whatever the clerks were playing over the sound system....
Swag For Life Member 11:35pm zzz:

wow this suzanne vallie is one of those perfect songs huh
  11:36pm spodiodi:

yeah, zzz
  11:38pm Listener Bop Monroe:

Jeff, this has been an exceptionally nice show tonight. You have really created a mood, which is not that easy to do. Thanks
