Someone here on Sheena's (was it you, Ursula?) played a really cool early 80s S Mallinder track i had no idea existed. Man those CabVolt dudes got one deeep catalog.
Avatar 5:13pm
Mr Fab:

Serge told a funny story about he went to Jamaica to record reggae tracks, but they weren't really getting along. language barrier, plus they didn't really understand why this French dude wanted to work with them. To break the ice, he said: So, do you guys like any French music? No, not really. *Serge sad* Then they said, the only the French song we like is this thing called "Je Taime Moi non Plus." He jumped up and shouted in English, "That's me!"
Avatar 5:14pm
Mr Fab:

Then they got along great and recorded some good stuff.

Fred did really funny exotica type song called “totally nude island” for a side project that
