If I could add some visuals, here's 10 minutes of 4K footage of the surface of Mars. Turn the sound off though, annoying narrator voice. www.youtube.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19am Mr. Pumpy:

Full on nozz, Handy.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am Handy Haversack:

Dang, I feel like I haven't gotten to Inflate in a long while! I have missed it!
  12:31am rich:

handy the annecy sculpture is my favorite
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33am mariano:

Comus is also the name of the original Mardi Gras krewe, started in 1859. Like most of the old-line krewes (except Rex), it's a true secret society. They have no web presence of any kind, and since day one nobody's ever known for sure who's in it.
  12:35am ParUbi ¤¤¤¤:

Yes! 93
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37am common:

perfect song thank you rich
  12:37am rich:

“the greek god of festivity, revels, and nocturnal dalliances” is a good name for the original krewe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am Mr. Pumpy:

Thanks rich. Goodnight to you and all the carcass inflators. Stay squirrely!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Handy Haversack:

It is really good, rich! For the NYC one, I know some weird perspectives from that stretch since I see it from very small boats on the East River. The playing with perspective is very cool in those pictures, and in Annecy too (where I would happily mess about in very small boats if given the chance, from the pictures). I like the unconcerned human-giant figures in the Annecy pix while all the (bad) emotions go on in the foreground.
  12:42am rich:

looks like the greeks did not have a god of daytime dalliances
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43am Handy Haversack:

Would happily take Diurnal Dalliance as a nom de guerre.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44am spodiodi:

night, Mr. Pumpy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46am Chop Scott:

Hello Rich & Scott! Throughly enjoying the show, as ever. Cheers!

  12:47am rich:

good evening chop scott
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am coelacanth∅:

wow i really like that this artist works in a small scale
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48am coelacanth∅:

...and -this set has been 118% perfect from the start
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49am mariano:

That's it, rich. The Lord of Misrule. It was a pretty literate crowd too, they took the name from a minor Milton poem ("A Masque Given at Ludlow Castle"). Comus is the son of Bacchus. In 1968, when the nouveau-riche crowd formed the Krewe of Bacchus (the first super-krewe), it was done as a playful swipe at Comus, since Bacchus is the daddy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51am chresti:

7XPigs -- they are good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:01am coelacanth∅:

Huzzah! Scott!
and Huzzah! Darren!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am coelacanth∅:

...and i scroll up to see a conversation about the miniature art. and (Handy @12.40) the displays of sculptures could be, and are, looked at as displays of sculptures; but truly the setting of the miniatures among the "unconcerned human giant figures" is the sculpture itself. as if the small people are in the giant people's world and it's brutal and sad.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Well I think I'ma leave FMU on & go horizontal. Mess my dreams real good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04am spodiodi:

spodi stereocat is indifferent to memedom but it's a cat indifferent is what they are until you catch them in the act of not being so
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:28am spodiodi:

rich, that's definitely part of what drew me to it. i don't understand cats, but they sometimes tolerate me for whatever reasons (mostly for kneading my thighs, i think)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31am Ike:

Susan Orlean is drunk-posting on Twitter, which is probably the best argument not to nuke Twitter from orbit: twitter.com...
