I’ve never heard of tongue in aspic??? but seriously thank you for using ALL of the animal parts in your meal prep #zerowaste
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am Otis Fodder:

Oh Solo! Possibly the mailroom did not forward the memo. Tongue in Aspic was approved (hooray) and will be a menu choice in the Primal Ice Cream truck this Thursday (hurrah). Serve warm.
Avatar 10:48am solo mon:

So glad this went through all the red tape! I thought it would never pass the health guidelines by then I forgot this is Smerica, we don’t have any standards! Here’s to warm tongue in your aspic!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:52am Otis Fodder:

The CDC (the other one, Confused Disoriented Cooks) have put forth guidelines to enjoy Tongue in Aspic, however mixed messages abound. Each ice cream truck will need to set forth its own safety dance rules of engagement.
Avatar 10:57am solo mon:

I think as long as it’s served warm, we aren’t going to have any problems :-) looking forward to the show today, Otis!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11am Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Avatar 1:57pm Linda Lee:

Avatar 1:58pm solo mon:

When I lived there, Most of my friends worked at the lusty lady.
Avatar 1:58pm solo mon:

Hi BC!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

Around age 14, I was in City Lights with my mama and there was Lawrence Ferlinghetti. My trickster mama picked up a postcard off the rack and said, "My daughter is a huge fan of yours, will you sign this?" and he did and my mama basically shoplifted the postcard! hee hee!
Avatar 1:59pm Mr Fab:

Ha, right on! I was an extra in the Beastie Biys video for “Shadrach.” The Boys treated us to a free mini-concert in between takes. I miss Mr Yauch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Granny Spicy Tuna (e/em):

solo mon: i recall going to a Lusty Lady "friends and family day," and i knew almost everyone there!
Avatar 2:00pm Linda Lee:

Avatar 2:06pm Linda Lee:

wish i'd had a mind to photograph her act. she was marvelous. long, flame red hair, white skin, large tum.
Avatar 2:06pm solo mon:

I just remember how they had the ladies out front of big als attached to a chain. I understand there is some safety in that but it looked just barbaric from my point of view.
Avatar 2:07pm solo mon:

I would love to see that act Linda! Sounds amazing
Avatar 2:08pm Linda Lee:

chains were after my time, i imagine. a real turn on for some, no doubt.
@solo mon ~ doesn't it? 'course the child is an adult now, if fortunate.
Avatar 2:09pm solo mon:

There’s one Ferlinghetti poem that’s actually shaped like a Christmas tree, about the brutalizations of said trees.
