Ah ok sinner. I remember you mentioning you were from Alabama. I have a couple of cousins in Birmingham. You probably know this, but in New Orleans the really expensive gourmet oysters come from Ala. Dauphin Island is a big source. Gooood oysters.

Many years ago, when I was in Southern California, I heard a gospel program on radio--possibly KFPK--and the DJ played a tune by The Gospelaires. I understand that there are plenty of Gospelaires over time and across the country. I assume this was the group from Detroit. Anyway, I high-tailed it to a gospel record store in Compton, but no, they had no Gospelaires in stock. Fast forward maybe 30 years and I'm in Berkeley, where I visit Down Home and, lo!, there are two comps of Gospelaires recordings, now mine!

Also managed to make it to Reid's in Berkeley, then the oldest record store in California, when it closed last year.
