Back in the day, when I actually would get up and go to work, I would ride with my boss who would always stop at this little hole in the wall on 6th street off Wilshire to get cigars from this old Cuban guy. He would hand roll them taking his sweet damn time. Meanwhile, we were showing up later and later for work. When we finally got there, people were looking at us with blood in their eyes. My boss would be puffing away and could have given a fuck, I on the other hand was looking for someplace to hide.

Crazy work day Monday and Tuesday just as bad. I come to Cannibal Stew for respite and recharge and to my amazement find you serving up Cuban music with a side of Ned Sublette. Remarkable! I met Ned about 15 years ago, and in 2017 & 2018 went on a couple of Ned's special guided music tours of Cuba. Quite amazing and intense. Two or three music events per day plus visiting sights (tobacco & coffee farm, beaches, historical sites, artist studio, religious sites, 10 days. Very highly recommended. He was doing 3 or 4 tours a year before orangehead ended it. Hope Ned starts the tours again when it again becomes possible. Will share some things.
