    JakeGould:

Went to Union Square this afternoon thinking to chill out in the park and head to the farmer’s market. No chance: The whole station was locked down, only entrance/exit was the 14th Street side near University place and it was all corralled in. Nothing to do but protest or get scoped out by cops.

Headed back to Brooklyn and all streets in Prospect Heights leading to the Barclay’s Center were barricaded.

And when I headed back to Bay Ridge, police are all over and the local police precinct has barricades and checkpoints. Streets also filled with remnants of charity food donated to the poor.

    Dark days.
      6:53pm
    JakeGould:

@SteveO: Maybe? But I don’t like dealing with work when it comes to relaxation. But what have you!
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 6:54pm

Jake, does it have to the recent protests?
Avatar 🌍 Swag For Life Member 6:54pm
    Bas NL:

Any stream listeners with high pitch sound problems running Windows 10? I recently had a similar problem after a Windows 10 update.. audio got switched to 48kHz and would not switch to 44.1 properly.
      6:57pm
    JakeGould:

@chresti: Not too sure what you are asking but it’s all about recent protests. The food for the poor is just because of Coronavirus unemployment needs. 10x10 or 24x10x10 boxes empty now but were filled with food dropped off a few times a week.

In Brooklyn there’s a protest happening right now near the Parkside Avenue stop in Flatbush that apparently escalated pretty quick.
      6:58pm

The only place to assuredly relax outdoors for me now is the roof. Grab a towel, some reading and a Bluetooth speaker and roof beach it is.

    Ken From Hyde Park:

Was that a friend of Olga P. with that last one?
      7:02pm
    JakeGould:

@chesti: What is happening in Minneapolis now is not like the initial protests. Even the state and police admit at much that at this point very organized agitators from out of state are coming in to cause mayhem; not protest a death.

What concerns me at the NYC protests is that might be happening here as well.
