By the way, those in NYC (and perhaps other places), at least two walk-in clinic chains are supposed to be offering antibody tests, if you think you had the virus and want to be tested. StatCare and CityMD. Probably others as well. Supposed to be covered by any type of insurance, but check with your insurance company if you are concerned, or check with the urgent care place. Also, NYC has instituted free testing in five locations, but you have to make an appointment. If you want to donate plasma you need proof that you had the test and were positive for antibodies. If you had symptoms, I'm told that best to wait at least 21 days after the symptoms went away. Bear in mind that there are sometimes false positives and false negatives, and that no one yet knows if this grants immunity in any way.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15am
Jeffrey Davison:

Buddha, I can't speak to your specific situation, but all the scenarios I've read about online all refer to having people get checked for temperature before entering (wherever). Didn't we get that most people don't show symptoms, and that this is how the virus was spread, for the most part? Because the response was inadequate (to say the least) in many places, many countries are suffering the terrible consequences. The countries that supported small businesses and jobs, and did proper testing, are all in much better shape. I am assuming that you will be allowed gloves and a mask (?)
Avatar 7:17am

from what i understand about the situation in new york, my (large) company in queens still has absolutely no idea the specifics of reopening. businesses have to have a coronavirus task force, and anything they plan has to be approved by the state of new york.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21am

Peter from Dover NJ: most DJs are streaming live. Others are pre-recording and sending the file over to FMU. Ruth is once again doing board op duty, part of the core WFMU staff that is allowed in the building. Without a vaccine, there would simply be too much coming and going in our building in Jersey City, and difficult to keep it all sanitized, especially during the changeovers.

@ Buddha of Suburbia: Was thinking more of qigong but both have similarities. Some asanas/mudras are the same.

some of Garcia's acts of generosity gave interesting insights into the value he placed on music and fellow musicians. One such act of generosity has to do with a guitar that Jerry Garcia gave to an obscure (then) guitarist named Perry Lederman
