hi Jan! :-)
hi Par ubi!
the best Stones years were done, weren't they. beautiful album though
they did become full professionals then, didn't they. took control
was reading a bit in June's bio today & realized, pretty fully: the business is hell, really. it kills people. destroys others. you need one terribly tough hide to do what they've done. mainly Mick & Keith.
but in order to do that ..
i think the biz might've killed Keith himself if he wasn't tough as leather essentially.
HOLLIES EVERY WEEK
i really like the mid 60s for the big bands, really.
but i was a child!
a few years later, after i'd started hearing all the hype about revolver being the beatles' best album i went out and got it and had to just think this? this is one of my least favorite beatles albums!
...eventually i figured out that the american release had 3 of the best songs removed and was then outweighed by some of the worst beatles songs.
i'm glad she's making an audio book ~ with tunes!
it was very nice. first impressions.
i actually knew about the beatles before my parents, because of the cartoon show. i pestered them for the records & so we had them. ;-)
unless can fly for it. then i'm ready.
:-)
i1.wp.com...
Thankfully for those who were there, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Animals etc. did visit Finland in their 60s prime. And later on during 60s, Cream, The Beach Boys, Hendrix, not to forget Fleetwood Mac three times!
"How about a quick one while he's away?"
"Errr, do you understand the intention in your words?"
Or ... there's Instagram. Not sure if you can link the two? I might have to look into that :-)
and i can't blame him. they are *not* the Who.
good. a punk to the end.
oh all right..
"How do you like Ohukaiset?"
(Ohukaiset - finnish word for thin pancakes, Jimi's finnish was not equipped for that apparently)
finnish promoter(bad english): Ai vant tö muuv (I want the Move)
UK promoter: The who?!?
finnish promoter: jees, tö huu (yes, the who)
Stay tuned for the wonderful Don-O tho: www.wfmu.org...
loved 'ominibus' too! :-)
It seems to be the "drivetime" hour
(i was/am working, listening from a distance)
take care
