About that phone call
This customer had been a good friend around 20 years . He worked under me years ago and was also a cabbie . Not the sharpest tool in the shed but very respectful for a taxi driver. We recently spoke of the danger from the passengers. Especially for him
As his company ran medical transportation
I noticed a few weeks back he was moving slow and had a slight cough. Normal for many in the allergy season.
Herbie cover up I don’t like that cough and face the fucking window. A few days later he called me late at night. Herbie you going to the hospital? Yes
He didn’t say much he was greenish grey. He had his head out the window the entire ride. Herbie you look like death don’t let them send you home. Tell them you are homeless so they keep you and MF do not call me to pick you up. I have COPD and that shit will kill me quick
Then the call came from the BOH and the CDC
Sir.... we understand you drove Herbie to the hospital can you tell us where you live ?? I can here the hushed female voice in the background

I always felt Ride and Puppets were like their best. Like when they sounded the most epic and it was the perfect balance of like thrash but almost proggy and complex too.
