	♥ 4:38pm Rich in Washington: KBOO is in a similar situation. They want to air all our archives to feed the content famine, but are worried they'll run afoul of the FCC due to legal IDs being played at incorrect times.
	♥ 4:38pm joe: One of the reasons I walked away from doing a regular shift at the station I was at was because I had my hands tied in the fact that if it was not indy or non commercial enough I was not supposed to play it. Non commercial also still was expected to be actual "bands" of some sort. My large collection of Sesame St records was not welcome. I also wanted to be able to play artists that would be considered god forbid famous or big or pop as I felt I should be judged on the two hours as opposed to the fact that I played Lady Gaga or David Cassidy.

	4:43pm Martinibomb: @Rich yeh I am trying to make sure these Legal IDs are on the 30min mark so as long as we start them at the hour or :30 they should stay within the legal id thing even if it drifts a little

I would think the FCC would be more concerned with dead air and stations going silent than they would an errant legal ID.

	♥ 4:38pm joe: One of the reasons I walked away from doing a regular shift at the station I was at was because I had my hands tied in the fact that if it was not indy or non commercial enough I was not supposed to play it. Non commercial also still was expected to be actual "bands" of some sort. My large collection of Sesame St records was not welcome. I also wanted to be able to play artists that would be considered god forbid famous or big or pop as I felt I should be judged on the two hours as opposed to the fact that I played Lady Gaga or David Cassidy.

	♥ 4:45pm Rich in Washington: That's what I've been saying too. And honestly, a live board op can handle top-of-the-hour IDs and also offer a disclaimer about the archival material. I would think the FCC would be more concerned with dead air and stations going silent than they would an errant legal ID.

I had come up with this wonderful visual of being locked in a studio playing ossilator noises for hours on end after getting in trouble for playing Diamand Galas :)
