I think it was somehow banned in Finland, unfortunately gay activists SETA found it offensive - but then again, you have to consider the historical context,back in those days non-straight orientation was legally considered a mental illness (and a crime until 1971)here in Finland, this was revoked in 1981. Homophobia was the national disease, so... understandable to a degree. But anyway Cruising never really had a Finnish premiere.

And the mention I made of SETA being offended in 1980 or so about Cruising is a bit silly and of its time; SETA have done so much good work for Finnish people with a non-straight sexual orientation, non-binary gender and so on, especially pre-1971, when certain sexual acts were illegal.

I think it was somehow banned in Finland, unfortunately gay activists SETA found it offensive - but then again, you have to consider the historical context,back in those days non-straight orientation was legally considered a mental illness (and a crime until 1971)here in Finland, this was revoked in 1981. Homophobia was the national disease, so... understandable to a degree. But anyway Cruising never really had a Finnish premiere.
