I rack them up lately as it is funny, but it also reminds me of late grandmother's infectious laugh. She loved the show and would crack up through the whole thing. She's been gone some time now, and I find it cathartically uplifting.

It's laughable that some of the more "advanced" toys I had were Electronic Battleship, Big Trak, Atari 2600, and the like. Most everything else at that age was Lego, Tonka trucks, Hot Wheels, construction sets, or model kits.

I will say though, one of the things I like about it (and there are a number of things I don't like) is the use of vocabulary and the playing with the English language. I think it went above where a lot of prime time shows go, in that regard. Anyhow...to each their own. I wasn't into it back and the day, but have found myself letting it rip, one after another, lately while I fall asleep or clean or whatever, because it reminds me of my dead granny's laugh. Now “Eight is Enough” would be about 8 roommates in a crappy house barely able to pay rent due to gig economy jobs.

It's laughable that some of the more "advanced" toys I had were Electronic Battleship, Big Trak, Atari 2600, and the like. Most everything else at that age was Lego, Tonka trucks, Hot Wheels, construction sets, or model kits.
