Hi Creamo! I love Satanic Majesties. Why do the Stones disavow this record?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm TomDash:

Altogether...Hippies!!!
Avatar 3:03pm YETI BOB:

Where's that joint?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Planet Tyler:

I always appreciated this album
Avatar 3:04pm Chris from DC:

They disavowed it? Huh. Citadel is such a great song.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm ultradamno:

Creamo, blastards! Time to get busted with a nude girl and a teapot.
  3:05pm Chi Bill:

Cool! Blast from past! I was 10 when it came out probably 16 when first heard and immediately loved. Thanks Mr Coyl!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm ultradamno:

Jagger said something about it only having two good songs on it and the rest being nonsense.
Avatar 3:06pm YETI BOB:

"Disavowed" is kind of strong. Mick said "There's two good songs on it. The rest of them are nonsense." Which is about right.
Avatar 3:06pm YETI BOB:

Hail Satan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm tim from champaign (now washington):

@Chris from DC - at least Mick and Keith do. The reasons are something to the effect of the songs are unformed experimental crud. I completely disagree. Probably the main reason is that it doesn't bring in the dough like Start Me Up does.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm ultradamno:

Set up by the Acid King...and if you can't trust that guy www.dailymail.co.uk...

Avatar 4:29pm Chris from DC:

Soakie!! They rule! I helped organize a show with them a couple of years back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29pm tokenware:

I like this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm Barney Grubbs:

every so often I get a New Radiant Storm King track popping up in the phone random shuffle that makes me remember. They also had a track on the Hotel Massachusetts comp on Chunk in 1994 that had some other nice tracks (Lumber!)
  4:38pm egould310:

Dutch East/Homestead/Giant records are impossible to find in the streaming world. I want to stream Dag Nasty “Field Day” on Spotify, dammit!

No YouTube is not the same.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm tim from champaign (now washington):

This is sounding good too!
  4:40pm John from Florham park:

Love this hard rocking stuff
Avatar 4:40pm Creamo Coyl:

Don't even get me started on the void that is the Grass Recs catalog.
For some reason I've been wanting to see if Mousetrap still kinda kicks ass, but can't even find any d/ls. Guess I could shell outt for some recs, signed Cheap Bastard.
  4:40pm Noel:

The Raymond Brake were a Greensboro band. I used to play that CD on the UNC-G student station. The bass player was in my French class; we didn't get along, but I liked his band anyway. He also worked at the campus Pizza Hut.
Avatar 4:42pm Creamo Coyl:

Nice! Thanks, yeah Greensboro.

The quotidian legacy of '90s indie rock.
Avatar 4:43pm Chris from DC:

Digging the Cheesecake.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm Mr. Pumpy:

@egould Field Day is such a great album. I find myself going for it more than the first two.
Avatar 4:45pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

At last... my satan cake.
  4:45pm John from Florham park:

@Noel is the UNCG station still around?
Avatar 4:47pm coelacanth∅:

i'll have just a sliver please
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Handy Haversack:

Great show so far, @Creamo! Really good to hear Jonathan Fire*Eater and hear other folks dig that band. Gotta jet in a few. Will try to catch the end from home.
  4:49pm Noel:

Yes, they are, all 17 watts. WUAG 103.1. I wonder if they still have the promo Ric Flair did for us.
Avatar 4:49pm Creamo Coyl:

Cheers, Handy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm tim from champaign (now washington):

I listened to NC State's student-run station while I was in Raleigh a few weeks ago. Weekend programming was great. The week day programming was a little too indie rock/contemporary for me but it was cool to hear a college station on the radio.
  4:50pm John from Florham park:

@Noel will check it out to see if I can hear the nature boy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52pm tim from champaign (now washington):

The Nature Boy Ricky Flair is one of my favorites "Whoooooo"
  4:52pm ratty7:

railroad jerk
Avatar 4:53pm Creamo Coyl:

Had Railroad Jerk in my 45 box that I was DJing with at a bar last night but didn't play it. xcellent band who I think I like more now than I did then.
Avatar 4:53pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

A lot of super-group dudes in this Cosmic Couriers piece.
  4:54pm John from Florham park:

@Tim try and give WCBN-FM a listen too, damn good station
Avatar 4:54pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

methinks this material has been released by other labels under different names.. but solid..
  4:54pm John from Florham park:

@Noel the station does not have a website
Avatar 4:55pm Creamo Coyl:

Yeah it has, can't believe I never heard this til recently. Rules.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm ultradamno:

I'm going to assume "culture" in this context involves growing bacteria in a controlled medium.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm tim from champaign (now washington):

Thanks for the tip, John.
  4:56pm John from Florham park:

@Tim your welcome
  4:58pm Noel:

Yeah, the NC State station was always the best. Been listening to it 34 years. They turned me on to lots of great stuff; they're probably why I love WFMU now.
  5:01pm Noel:

@John - Yeah, I don't know why they don't promote themselves much these days. I have to get to Rocky Mount before I can pick it up.
  5:02pm John from Florham park:

@Noel as we have all discovered FMU is in a class by its self
  5:03pm John from Florham park:

@Niel because they don’t want too?
  5:06pm John from Florham park:

I mean Noel
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm blee:

Magnificent sounds from Elephant Château. I bet this VA disc is rad.
  5:12pm egould310:

“... FMU is in a class by its self.”

And Creamo’s show is in a very select class of This station’s shows. The best of The Best.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28pm tim from champaign (now washington):

I watched this video of John Brannon joining Dinosaur Jr on stage to do "Why". He said "Alright, Y'all feeling good? Well that's about to change". Then they busted into it.
