At the record store where I worked we had a semi-regular who claimed to be Duane Eddy's first cousin. Part of me believed him because that would be such a strange thing to make up, but every single other he said was a hilariously wrong piece of music trivia. Among other things: Jimi Hendrix died in 1967 (two years before Woodstock), Lee Hazelwood had been pretty sick lately (he'd actually been dead for about 5 years), and Fats Domino is the richest black man in America.
  11:00am melinda:

@Oscar it would be funny if the part about being his cousin was really true.

Fats Domino did have an iron fence around his house with F D forged into the gate.

The Sweet's "Fox on the Run" is a weird choice of a cover, but it works well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am Phillippe Bastille:

This sounds great! Excellent work on the engineering/mixing Scotts!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42am Gaylord Fields:

Welcome, Penelope! And give Marty a hearty slap on the back from me when you see him next!

Never struck me as a Zombies guy, Joe
Avatar 11:44am John from NP:

John?
Avatar 11:44am Joe McG:

@phillippe: Yes, I don't play them often anymore, maybe because I wore them out. But I've always adored them.
Avatar 11:44am Chud:

Oh man, best version since the DJ Cummerbund one!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Gaylord Fields:

Scotts working with Irish Roses — this is much better than the bridge Boris is purporting to build between the two islands.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am ParUbi:

They're just great!
Avatar 11:46am Joe McG:

Forgot to mention that Josie plays viiola on this one. Kristi plays the vibraslap.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am WR:

Hearing the chatter about Ozzie's and Iggy's real names and the young folk laughing warms my heart so very much. Music taking it all to a new level!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am sphere:

  12:00pm Brendan:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm WR:

The Wild Irish Roses, great music, great fun. Have to take a deep breath and get back to work. Easier knowing can listen to the WIR when I want, when I need.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm WR:

Relistening, someone please tell Aengus Rose he is a great drummer. Solid all the way!
Avatar 10:56am Joe McG:

By the way, since someone asked during the show, the Rose family sport the Rose clan tartan. Mike's father was Scotch via New Brunswick, Canada, while his three other grandparents were all Irish.
