Well, Esquivel was both cool AND strange. Can't say that about too many folk, eh? I mean, you got your Miles, Johnny Cash, Lou Reed on one side and your Perry and Kingsley, Spike Jones, mrs. Miller on the other. Somehow Esquivel could straddle all worlds

Funny to hear Frank talk about his film on his pre-fame Steve Allen Show appearance. He calls it 'the worst movie ever made' and the audience laughs. Kind of an early instance of the celebration of 'bad'.

There is one scene in The Worlds Greatest Sinner I remember where Timothy Carey is at the Driftwood dairy which was not to far away on Lower Azusa Rd. As a matter of fact, most of the movie was filmed in and around El Monte, I think. It sure looks like it.
