  8:09pm yippie:

and you can usually get the record on clearance sale according to Bob Dylan
Avatar 8:10pm Becky:

Hi everyone, by the way. I'm so excited to unveil my premium this year!
  8:10pm BetsyO:

I love when a song from your youth comes on, one embedded deep in the mind somewhere, almost forgotten, where lyrics come alive once again and come out of your mouth in surprise like magic,... and after decades when first heard again, wow, that feels sooooo goood,... and that’s just what happened with Johnny Preston!!!

Good evening! Sounds wonderful!
  8:12pm Jett:

You can never go wrong with something by Charlie Rich. I think that Joe Simon and Charlie Rich sound a bit similar, both so soulful and great.
Avatar 8:12pm Becky:

Wow, BetsyO, that's so evocative and amazing! That's what we strive for on the Honky Tonk Radio Girl program!
  8:15pm Jett:

Happens to me a lot @Betsy O
  8:22pm Jett:

Doree and Bill Post were the songwriters on "Sixteen Reasons" the Connie Stevens hit, I think they also recorded a version of it a few years later.

I love that son “That Crazy Rack of Hers”
Avatar 8:40pm Motobro:

Hi Becky,
After you, Dolly is the Best.
Saw here interview a few weeks back and she is one funny woman, a real pistol.
  8:41pm Fragonard:

(it was a duet, as I recall)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41pm ultradamno:

"humdinger is something of a mash-up of two pre-existing words with similar meanings, hummer and dinger." So a humdinger is both a hummer and a dinger. www.visualthesaurus.com...
  8:41pm Jett:

Great Dolly track! Always liked that whole album.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:43pm ultradamno:

Good weed, so a song about mistletoe? (though that's a pretty bad one, it kills trees)
Avatar 8:46pm Motobro:

Ultradamno, did you mean Bona roba?
""From Italian buonaroba a term for a
"a good wholesome plum-cheeked wench,""
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm ultradamno:

Merriam-Webster has a somewhat less flattering definition www.merriam-webster.com...
  8:53pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Becky needs three hours
  8:54pm johnk77:

Avatar 8:54pm Becky:

Lord help me, Aaron, I have a day job!
  8:54pm Jett:

@Aaron Becky's show is much too short, just when she gets going, it's over.
  8:55pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Eh day jobs are overrated

  9:06pm Sean Kershaw:

Becky u killed it at last year’s CashBash (and always)! Wouldn’t be the same without you!
BTW I think it’s listed officially as “Johnny Cash Birthday Bash”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am WR:

Not to take anything away from the great Frogman Henry, but he would tell you that Johnny Preston does Feel So Fine is primarily based on Shirley and Lee's Feel So Good with Preston singing both Shirley and Lee's part. The first set you played is heavily New Orleans flavored.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07am WR:

Wow that Sticks and Stones song, didn't catch any specific reason for the teasing, no sins of the ma or pa visited upon the child, just that there is something different about him. Beautiful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am WR:

Great show. Listening during work so could not focus on every tune as much as I would like but liked all that I heard.
