One time at the record store I worked at we got a HUGE collection of Armenian 78s. One of the records was by Alexis Zoumbas (who's obviously Greek, but recorded some in Armenia). It wound up selling to Zoumbas' biographer, who was compiling tracks and had never come across this one. I can't recall the piece, but there's a possibility it wound up on this comp!

Obligatory reminder that Brel's original lyrics to "Seasons in the Sun" are actually hilariously mean and sarcastic, and are worth comparing to Terry's: genius.com...

We can forgive Terry for Seasons in the Sun because of the B -side , Put the Bone In. Oh wait no ... that was worse...

Oh man, that Mitchum calypso album cover is one of my favorites of all time. I learned from my mom that my grandfather and two of his friends briefly owned a nightclub in the 50s, and that on opening night they dressed in tiki-drag (coconut bras, grass skirts) and lip-synced some Mitchum calypso.
