I once lived in a house in weehawken nj that we called the house of the rising sun. It faced nyc and in the morning the sun would blast the living room window and make it a living hell for anyone hungover and crashed on our living room couch

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Rob W:

Yes, the Coffin Daggers - in the spirit of Terauchi and Blue Jeans circa 1966!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:00pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Yeah, that was great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Michael 98145:

( @Rob W, enjoyed that Golden Fest show! )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm Rob W:

If anyone's curious, the seminal album of Japanese folk songs played surf rock style was "Let's Go Eleki-Bushi" by Takeshi Terauchi and Blue Jeans (1966) - and you can also search for the more recent anthology Takeshi Terauchi - "Nippon Guitars". I think the Coffin Daggers actually covered different Japanese folk songs, not the same songs the Blue Jeans played - so it's kinda half folk song cover, half concept tribute!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04pm Rob W:

And thanks Michael 98145!
Avatar 1:20pm northguineahills:

It's instrumental rock, it isn't surf rock.
