Heya Fabs and peeps. @chresti, you didn't see my question to you yesterday on Kenzo's board. Are you a Leo, perchance?

Here for this. This now.

Strength through the crossing of FMU streams. I have fallen and now I can't get up. Failure feels so good.

this is five thousand percent the vibe I require in headphones at this time.

Hi Carmichael - Roar!

I'm afraid I might be a green. It ain't easy.

Complete and utter streaming failure in the car. Totally missed missed the ending of Mister Giant Man. I need to see a map of the local dead zones and plan my trips accordingly.

You are too, right?@carmichael

Love this whole Traden album! Has been in heavy rotation with us for a while and, of course, thought about you, Fabio, when we first heard it.
Avatar 3:39pm TDK60:

Hello Fabio. I have a radio on..
  3:39pm John from Florham park:

Hello fellow failure listeners
  3:40pm Jon:

Are these the same guys as Trad Gras Och Stenar? Thought they changed their name or something? I know I’ve heard this track before, it’s great!

i really like their 2016 Häxan album, Jon. saw them perform live during that tour, as well.

WOW! i thought that was a new album from William Basinski.
Avatar 4:05pm TDK60:

..was that 6 Orgs from '06? 2006 was good. // Fab, it's possible some hippies even listen to this show.

Avatar 4:07pm coelacanth∅:

it's looking like i'm going to really want a drink later. i'd better celebrate prohibition remembrance day today instead of national nothing day.
Avatar 4:07pm TDK60:

Incredible wind, squalls, snow, rain, Sun- here in no. Manhattan.
Avatar 4:08pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Fabio: Your assessment of hippies + that talkover music reminded me: There's a room in the Design Museum in Copenhagen that you must see. Deep red bubble chairs, sphere lamps, mod as hell and insanely great.

Could live in that room for all time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm Handy Haversack:

Wind and weird skies at 62nd St., @TDK60.
Avatar 4:11pm Fabio:

@Rev.: Been there and seen it (though a while ago now). Yes, very cool! Did you take in Tivoli Gardens? also, The Louisiana Museum...
Avatar 4:17pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Didn't make it to the Louisiana this time, but Tivoli, record-shopping, smoked-salmon everything. The good life.

Also: this raga kicks most lovely.
Avatar 4:17pm coelacanth∅:

stamford,ct - cold, snow, hail (small), rain, sleet, very high winds, garbage, overuse of household chemicals, dogs barking, general panic, hunger, cravings...
  4:19pm John from Florham park:

It is sunny here in Florham park
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Handy Haversack:

Dogs and cats! Living together!

Now the sideways sleet squall against the sunset has reached the lower Upper West Side.

The last movie I saw in the theater was about three black women working at NASA for Kevin Costner, who heroiically ripped down the "Whites only" sign outside the NASA bathroom.
  4:45pm Jett:

I love Seijun Suzuki's "Branded To Kill." great movie! Highly Recommended.
  4:49pm Earth Walker:

Elton Johns movie was cool
Avatar 4:50pm TDK60:

I need to get out to more movies. I love Film Forum & IFC. Last night I watched the 'Animal Farm' cartoon film (UK 1954) - it was a DVD here at home.
  4:51pm Earth Walker:

  4:52pm Earth Walker:

Your still in the WFMU music scene
  4:53pm Jett:

In 1975 while some people were getting into The Captain And Tennille - Love Will Keep Us Together, some folks were listening to Arielle Karma - Returnelle. Think about that!
Avatar 4:54pm TDK60:

Hi Earth W.
  4:54pm Jett:

Hate when the computer changes my spelling!
  4:55pm Jett:

Arielle Kalma - Reternelle correct spelling.
  4:56pm Earth Walker:

This is such a compliment to the wake music. Glad I’m turning in
  4:56pm Jett:

it changed it again - Ariel
  4:57pm Earth Walker:

I bet clay pigeons tuning in too
Avatar 4:58pm coelacanth∅:

(and some people were listening to "urban guerrilla")
  5:04pm huomenta:

@tdk 60 was animal farm worth the watch? It was shown here in Finland, got it somewhere, but then again so many others to watch... wow, kuupuu!
Avatar 5:05pm northguineahills:

Avatar 5:05pm TDK60:

huomenta: Definitely worthwhile.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm Aitch:

In late, looks like I've missed some interesting stuff, will check later.
  5:07pm huomenta:

usually I go to cinema only for some film archive viewings. I don't know why it has to be a scratched 16/35mm with faded colours for me... it makes even the most horrible 80s crap movies enjoyable for me. f;:k digital cinema.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm Aitch:

Anything on Super 8 is by nature hilarious.
Avatar 5:10pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar 5:10pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Alas I am late to salute th'Kuupuu properly.
  5:11pm huomenta:

@TDK 60 5:05, well, it is watchlist material then. They had a Orwell special here in Finland on Yle Teema (perhaps the only tv channel worth watching here) with 1984 and Animal Farm if I remember correctly, at least they are among my archives from the same time.
Avatar 5:12pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Speaking of Copenhagen, found a couple of Kuupuu LPs there in perfect condition, dirt cheap. Worth the trip for that alone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Aitch:

My kids (teens) are looking to buy a super 8 camera, and meanwhile have been shooting black and white photos in 35mm. Also they buy music only on vinyl? (but mostly listen on Spotify)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...the people will sooner believe a big Failure than a small one ! ...

We have Art so we do not grow hipster moustaches.

  5:16pm huomenta:

my moustache & beard - when they appear - are simply an unfortunate byproduct of alcoholism.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

When I was a kid - one thing I wanted to be if I grew up (did not happen) was an animator. I acquired an 8mm camera. Not even Super8...
  5:17pm huomenta:

RevolutionRabbit: never too late to be a kid or an animator.
  5:18pm Earth Walker:

Caught a good movie here in France
Thanatos about near death experience
Freudian theory. The death experience
Avatar 5:18pm Megadano:

ha. I'm in animation and I learned with a super8. I bought the film at that pharmacy by NYU that used to carry it for the kids in nyu film school. and there was this below the street place on the lower east side that used to develop it...
Avatar 5:20pm coelacanth∅:

i was told yesterday by my niece that i lent her brother some albums. i wonder what i lent him.
  5:20pm chresti -Los Angeles:

I’m back from work related failure, what did I miss?
  5:21pm huomenta:

I find your 8mm stories lovely as I am a fan of old school animation ( strictly a fan only - no visual skills whatsoever)
  5:23pm mzmzz:

my favorite T. Reily piece.

Failure to arrive punctually. Goddamn mountain lion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:24pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Baba - oh really ??
...Saw somewhere they got an animation app for fones so who knows...
Animation v. CGI is a lot like the Analog v. Digital thang in audio...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...its like with young Beatletards collecting vinyl
...I can tell you we once had no choice...
  5:29pm GListener MW:

loving the Terry Reilly!!!
  5:29pm huomenta:

@rev.rabbit/5.24 digital animation is easier to spot than digital audio. the former annoys me to no end;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm brainiac:

Hey, that Beatletard crack hurt my feelings
  5:30pm huomenta:

did not hurt mine, I was once one of them.

-such predictable formulaic crap.
  5:33pm huomenta:

well I was genuinely bullied in school for Beatletardom so the skin just grows itself

Beatletard I believe is Lennon's word
- & I count myself one since the 1960s Saturday cartoon show...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Carmichael:

Then I guess that makes me a Kinktard ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Dan Bodah's Vocal Fry program last Monday night had some neat African pygmy chants that (to me) aren't too different than this here melody.
  5:40pm GuyWalker:

Forgive me, I'm having a fart brain. Who was the musician managing the Knitting Factory late '80s died of AIDS a white guy experimental musician who's instrumental tracks were just released or re-released?

could "flying doesn't help" be a future spin?
Avatar 5:42pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

It does age very very well.
  5:43pm huomenta:

I was a beatletard but nowadays (and to some extent) a WHOtard/KINKtard
Avatar 5:43pm coelacanth∅:

i'm a multitard; or a polytard.
- or, just a tard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm ultradamno:

A reatard?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm brainiac:

Are those born in late summer leotards?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm ultradamno:

Oh, I missed Kuupuu.
Avatar 5:46pm Fabio:

@ Guy: Not sure who you're referring to...
Avatar 5:46pm coelacanth∅:

and occasionally on halloween a reatard in a leotard
  5:49pm JakeGould:

@GuyWalker: You mean Arthur Russell?
  5:50pm huomenta:

these tablet comments with missing words - see above for instance? I remember recently claiming John Cale's post-VU solo career to be better. Yes, well.... ;);It is just that the dramatic ending "...than Lou Reed's" was missing from that sentence. So, on the tard subject, here is a self-confessed techtard (I loathe any/all smart-whatevers, gimme a 10-15 year old desktop pc and some "crap" linux os and I am happy), all thumbs here. Typo, typo and then the missing word and ending with an incomplete sentence
  5:52pm huomenta:

a pen and paper with the wait of overseas mail, now that would be the ideal comments board. just like this music - not exactly in a hurry

  5:54pm JakeGould:

@houmenta: Comments via the WFMU app cut off due to ampersands choking the mix. Just use “and” instead.
