Less Flange - more FAB :-)
Avatar 6:54pm Mr Fab:

Apologies to Spacebrother Greg for wrecking his show.
Hopefully, it will recover when he returns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm Otis Fodder:

Listening and moving into the kitchen to start supper. Soundtrack my dinner DJ!

  7:03pm Martinibomb:

This is slammin'
Avatar 7:03pm Mr Fab:

this is a rarity. Bootleg, maybe?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I've just started following Patti Smith on Instagram
  7:04pm Martinibomb:

wha! That's coool
  7:05pm Martinibomb:

ooh I just got my wife really into Wanda Jackson - especially singing/karaoke
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05pm Rich in Washington:

Just drove home through the snow in time for this. I think I am officially snowed in now.
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
Avatar 7:06pm Mr Fab:

her book "Just Kids" is highly recommended, I'm sure many of you know it already.

Hey, two rocking chicks I've seen live, Patti Smith, and Wanda jackson! Not on the same show, unfortunately.
  7:06pm Martinibomb:

she's singing all her stuff right now it's pretty awesome
Avatar 7:06pm Mr Fab:

Well, you might see Wanda herself one day.She still tours!
Avatar 7:07pm Linda Lee:

I saw Patti in New York, small club about 76. just a knockout show.
  7:07pm Martinibomb:

She's almost the very last of that group
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I've just got M Train on Audible - looking forward to that :-)
Avatar 7:07pm Mr Fab:

Rich, this is my anti-S.A.D. mix. This, plus cocktails should do the trick.
Avatar 7:09pm Mr Fab:

THis track is from a CD I just ticked up at Amoeba the other day - a whole album of different versions of Viva Las Vegas.
Avatar 7:09pm Mr Fab:

just PICKED up
  7:09pm Martinibomb:

@fab @rich u may remember that enchanted forest album I have. Turns out the label owner lives in my neighborhood wyrd war. Going to have him as a guest soon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Rich in Washington:

Is this the Sheena official anthem?
Avatar 7:10pm Linda Lee:

the team song. :-D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Rich in Washington:

That's cool! I sure enjoyed that screening they did.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm Rich in Washington:

This is freaking awesome!
Avatar 7:11pm Mr Fab:

There are many songs called "Ungawa" or some variation. I plan on adding them to the stream at some point.
  7:11pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 7:11pm Linda Lee:

I'd know Chinese rocks anywhere.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm Rich in Washington:

Rockin' set, Fab!
7:12pm Dave in St Albans UK:

Wow. @Linda Lee I used to obsess about Patti in the 70's. I do envy you seeing her live.
Avatar 7:12pm Mr Fab:

Oregon's Enchanted Forest is def on my bucket list.
Avatar 7:12pm Linda Lee:

it was good being in New York, Dave. :-)
Avatar 7:12pm Mr Fab:

Shes still great live, Dave. Hopefully she'll visit your shores .
Avatar 7:13pm Linda Lee:

that means I'm very old now, however. :-D
  7:13pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

God mr fab are you always sound so hip?
Avatar 7:13pm Mr Fab:

A live Johnny Thunders album I had no idea existed til recently.
  7:13pm Martinibomb:

@Fab ya better hurry up the original owner just turned 90 I think? who knows what will happen after he's gone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm Rich in Washington:

I seem to have this talent for going to theme parks when they're shut down (Enchanted Forest - we hopped the fence!) or being significantly overhauled (Disneyland in the early 90s. I got to see all the train tracks under the boats in Adventureland)
Avatar 7:14pm Mr Fab:

Ha, Aaron, YEAH baby! I talk like this all the time, ya dig?
  7:14pm Martinibomb:

I saw a IG post about wyrd war maybe doing another live event at the enchanted forest.. they did one for the record release. So I'd like to ask him about that.. maybe sheena can live cast it?
7:14pm Dave in St Albans UK:

I can dream that Patti will visit our shores someday. Yes please!
  7:15pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Wow a great jerry lee impression here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Patti Smith played a church in Brighton about ten minutes away from where I live.
Avatar 7:16pm Mr Fab:

Thanks to Georgy for her fantastic playlist updating. GG, I'm imagining you typing away in some Mad Men-type steno pool.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:16pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

There's steam coming off my fingers! ;-)
Avatar 7:17pm Mr Fab:

That's great! Churches have such good acoustics. Must have been some show.
I saw her (with Flea on bass for some reason) outdoors, on the Santa Monica Pier.
  7:18pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

So so very good mr Perkins
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I hasten to add that I didn't see her because the tickets sold out in a nano-second. lol
I've seen Gillian Welch play a church in Brighton tho - the same church I saw The Residents in. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

my cat is yelling at me, i think this is what e is saying
Avatar 7:18pm Mr Fab:

I really put the 'sin' into 'den of sin' with this upcoming calypso. NSFW? And, if you were diggin GG's exotic mix, we def get lounge/exotic later in the show.
  7:19pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Gillian Welch feels like family to me
  7:19pm Martinibomb:

@Granny ever been to the Enchanted Forest?
  7:20pm CC:

I guess you must be engineering Georgy Girls show tonight Mister Fab???
Avatar 7:20pm Mr Fab:

Aaron, i think guys like Perkins (and BiIll Haley) get totally underrated ,in America at least. We all know a couple iconic songs of theirs and rarely go further. There is such great stuff when you dig deep.
Avatar 7:21pm Mr Fab:

CC: No, it's my show. I don't have my own show page, so GG's hosting it on her page.
  7:21pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

This is why I love WFMU and all their side projects!
Avatar 7:22pm Linda Lee:

there's that parrot training record!
  7:23pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Polly want a cracker indeed!
  7:24pm CC:

I see... I get so confused sometimes!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm Rich in Washington:

Stop Hitting Yo'self. Greg should totally change it to that.
Avatar 7:24pm Mr Fab:

Stop Whipping Yourself
  7:25pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Lol not the whip!
  7:26pm Martinibomb:

*i'm hiding* right here... hee hee hee
  7:27pm CC:

Somebody has to do it!!!...hehehe...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I finished a playlist today which has this very song on it - mind meld!
  7:30pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

This rips off the theme from shaft
Avatar 7:30pm Mr Fab:

great thing about a band name like Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space - they will never be critic's darling. They could make the best records on earth, but they will never be on any best-of lists. It's a noble sacrifice.
  7:31pm CC:

Wow... that's like ESP Georgy Girl!!!
Avatar 7:31pm Mr Fab:

..from the man who wrote the Theme From Shaft! Guess he's allowed to?
  7:32pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

I just want to see him sue himself
Avatar 7:32pm Mr Fab:

that's funny GG. But Sheena's DJs are somewhat on a similar track much of the time, so it happens occasionally 'round here.
  7:32pm CC:

Mr Fab... do you ever just DJ off the cuff???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@Mr Fab = oh more than occasionally ;-)
Avatar 7:33pm Mr Fab:

Well, John Fogerty was sued for ripping off one of his old Creedence tunes. The music biz is a funny thing.
  7:34pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

True lol
Avatar 7:34pm Mr Fab:

Jerry Lewis sings with Rat Pack here!
  7:35pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Why does this sound rough?
Avatar 7:35pm Mr Fab:

CC, I'm not really set up to do much off-the-cuff DJing. But I've hung out on this show before with Spacebrother Greg.
Avatar 7:35pm Mr Fab:

Don't think it's an "official" release, Aaron.
  7:36pm CC:

God rest all of their souls!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:39pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

I think this was Kurt's original vision, but the label said MORE ANGRY!!!
Avatar 7:39pm Linda Lee:

it's lovely!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Dave Grohl said that Kurt wanted to be a country singer, and if you listen to the master tapes you can hear it in his vocals. Mind blowing. :-)
  7:41pm CC:

Well...it's always nice to be in the same mood you were in when you made the playlist as when you're playing it!!!...eh???
Avatar 7:41pm Linda Lee:

Kurt might still be around if he'd gone country.
Avatar 7:42pm Linda Lee:

smaller parasites.
  7:42pm CC:

Oh yeah..!..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@LL - nice thought but the physical ailments still would have got to him, poor bugger :-(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did, to be honest :-(
Avatar 7:44pm Linda Lee:

got to him, but possibly easier to handle without the intensive stress of rock success.
  7:44pm CC:

some people think it's way too easy to get a gun!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

That definitely put extra stress on him, for sure.
  7:45pm Martinibomb:

I have one of those fun undiagnosed stomach problems like cobain. It's not fun
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

@MB - :-(
Avatar 7:45pm Linda Lee:

dealing with illness, honest, stress managreement is so critical.
  7:46pm Martinibomb:

I couldn't burp until just a few years ago so in some respect it's gotten better.
  7:47pm Martinibomb:

I used to get super sick if I drank soda. Mostly avoided them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Have you heard of the Intoxicats? Amazing tiki lounge/exotica group based out of Minneapolis, started by Michele Rundgren, Todd's wife!!
  7:48pm Martinibomb:

yeh they are great
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Rich in Washington:

MDC's singer Dave Dictor lives in Portland now.
Avatar 7:50pm Linda Lee:

booze really does kill brain cells audibly, doesn't it.
Avatar 7:50pm Mr Fab:

Thx to Rich for the Repo man sample!

That's tough MB, I'm kind of addicted to bubbly drinks. Can't imagine life without 'em (tho I'm sure it'd be healthier living)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm Rich in Washington:

This is re-goddamn-diculous!
Avatar 7:51pm Mr Fab:

thx for the tip on the Intoxicats, sounds great, will check 'em out!
Avatar 7:52pm Linda Lee:

talk about excrement.
  7:52pm Martinibomb:

Fun show today mr. F@b
  7:52pm CC:

I saw an episode of Star Trek the other night where a representative of Starfleet command setup and Nazi ruling party on this planet...it backfired or something??? strange!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:52pm Rich in Washington:

I am due to watch Repo Man again.
Anybody ever see Alex Cox's direct to digital, shot on green screen sequel Repo Chick?
Avatar 7:53pm Mr Fab:

hmm, can't find any actual music by the Intoxicats. Just a live thing?
Avatar 7:55pm Mr Fab:

Wow, did not know that existed Rich. I just remember he wrote a comic book sequel to Repo Man.
  7:55pm CC:

You only ask why if it's Rye!!!
Avatar 7:55pm Mr Fab:

CC, I'm confused- Starfleet command established the Nazi party?
Avatar 7:56pm Mr Fab:

I...was such a high waaaaaaisted modernist!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm Otis Fodder:

Wild shindig Daddy Fab! Stream gainin' consciousness and drivin' at reckless speeds for an hour! My Garlic choppin' to John Wayne having 2-way mirrors installed, ha! Nice to hear that Cibo cut too, a fav. Cool that jets and get off the moon, back into orbit Fab!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Aaron in Minneapolis:

Mr. Fab- They have a album called return to tiki oasis
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Huge round of applause for our very own Mr Fab, folks!
Take a bow, Mr Fab! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58pm Rich in Washington:

Repo Chick wasn't very good, especially in light of the original film, but I just thought it was so goddamned audacious. Like a guerrilla film. You could sort of forgive its ridiculous cheapness. It also had a much stronger Anarchist/Marxist bent than any of his Hollywood or even semi-indy films.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59pm Rich in Washington:

Fantastic show and mixin', Fabster!
I hope you do this more often!
  8:00pm CC:

no it was a renegade starfleet psychologist or something on a planet trying to help acclimate the society into better living conditions or something.. he use the Nazi model hoping it wouldn't go wrong this time??.
Avatar 8:01pm Mr Fab:

thanks so much for staying up late and helping out GG, MUCH appreciated. Thanks for hangin at my den of sin, y'all
Avatar 8:01pm Linda Lee:

oh! Otis on Tuesday! brilliant!
great show Mr F! fun!
  8:02pm CC:

on the flip side
Avatar 8:03pm Mr Fab:

Yep, Otis brings Friendly Persuasion to Toozdaze now. See everyone 2morrow.
