Good morning Jeffrey and all .
  6:03am David in London:

Morning Jeffrey and all you Shrunken Heads out there. Hey spamoni, how are you?
Avatar 6:04am spamoni:

Hi David in London, I'm fine and how are you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04am Kevin-san:

It's 6 AM on Saturday: is it Shrunken Planet or just the tinnitus? :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06am Jeffrey Davison:

good morning spamoni, David in London, Kevin-san...
Kevin-san: hard to tell, as I have tinnitus, so it could be both!
  6:07am David in London:

I’m good thanks spamoni. A Saturday with plans to walk across London and just take in unexpected things along the way.
  6:07am David in London:

Hey Kevin.
Avatar 6:11am spamoni:

My youngest son David is taking my oldest son Derek on his bachelor's party tonight in Fl. They rented a boat and are going to an island, I just hope it doesn't turn out to be Gilligan's Island!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11am Kevin-san:

@JD: same... too many Status Quo and Rory Gallagher concerts as a young person, I fear
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12am Kevin-san:

Good morning, David in London, enjoy your walk. You think Spurs can beat Liverpool later? I'll be watching
  6:18am David in London:

@spamoni. Oh the joys of youth. Funnily enough my son has his first teenage house party tonight. What could possibly go wrong..? @kevin, come on you Spurs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am Jeffrey Davison:

spamoni: take a radio!
Kevin-san: too much dancing at Maxwell's, with my head 2 inches from the speakers on the bandstand.
  6:29am David in London:

Jeffrey you old headbanger you.
Avatar 6:30am spamoni:

@Jeffrey, I already packed the case of batteries
  6:33am wild neil:

it's 50f here in buffalo exurbs. yuk. I wanna snowboard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34am Jeffrey Davison:

David: now I'd have to take a walker! But, damn, the NYC clubs of the late 70s and 80s were a lot of fun, plus good ol' Maxwells in Hoboken of course...
Avatar 6:36am duke:

Hola planeteers
Avatar 6:37am duke:

@spamoni A three hour cruise?
  6:38am wild neil:

I saw sun ra and psychic tv at Maxwell's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41am Jeffrey Davison:

welcome duke, wild neil
neil: yuk is right, and worse to come...plus, I can't top sun ra and psychic tv! what a great club that was.
  6:41am David in London:

Jeffrey was five or so years behind you, so I hit the London club scene around ‘84. They were so improvised and jerry-rigged and amateur, it’s what made them so fun and exciting.
  6:43am Cooh John:

Good morning Jeffrey and fellow planeteers. I had an Aunt Pauline. Kismet or twilight zone? I will be walking in the rain all day and enjoying it. SP is my mood music.
Avatar 6:44am TDK60:

Good morning on the secondary Saturday.
  6:45am Cooh John:

Thanks for cueing the rain, JD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am Jeffrey Davison:

welcome Cooh John, TDK60
David: yeah, and def in that vein...Club 57 on St. Mark's Place.
Cooh John: yer welcome...
  6:49am David in London:

Jeffrey, St Marks Place will always immediately make me think of Lou Reed and ‘Sally Can’t Dance’. A good thing.
Avatar 6:55am TDK60:

St. Mark's Place is still there. I recall the crazy hippy days, the later punx, and later later later.
Avatar 7:05am TDK60:

There were huge protests in Australia yesterday, many calling for the coal-loving prez. to be yanked.
  7:06am Andrew in Etobicoke:

A belated good morning Jeffrey and all other Planeteers.

Avatar 7:15am TDK60:

St. Mark's runs into Tompkins Square Park where one can still find rebels, bohemians, Food Not Bombs, and such.
  7:16am Andrew in Etobicoke:

Good morning spamoni.
  7:18am David in London:

Gotta head out now for a day of urban walking. Have a good one y’all. Cheers Jeffrey.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am Aaron Working In Newark:

Better later than never.... Good Morning Jeffrey! And all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:04am Ignatatus666:

@Dale
Not really only politically like most places. There is a local investor who has several bars that attract outsiders. The local officials mostly look the other way. Underage drinking, illegal parking,Disorderly conduct,public indecency etc.
Avatar 8:05am spamoni:

Welcome JfFP
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:05am Ignatatus666:

Welcome back JFFP
Avatar 8:06am dale:

public indecency! that's right up my alley.
  8:08am John from Florham park:

@iggy thanks
@Spamoni how are you feeling
Avatar 8:08am dale:

it's like up here in the middletown area. a few of the local politicians own a good deal of real estate - zoning and laws are bent and/or enforced around their needs.
Avatar 8:08am TDK60:

There /is/ a lot of music. I've thought about having 3 or 4 stereos running at once, just to get more music in...
  8:11am John from Florham park:

@Buddha morning
@Dale morning
@TDK60 morning
Avatar 8:12am spamoni:

@JfFP I'm hanging in there but make no mistake this is the end,growing more tired and weaker every day.
  8:13am John from Florham park:

@spamoni fuck that sucks
Avatar 8:13am dale:

morning john from f.p.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am Ignatatus666:

It’s so odd how backwards society is becoming. Peekskill is super diverse. It has 4 main cultures. White,Ecuadorian,Black and Guatemalan. Ignorant people place all native Ecuadorian and Guatemalan in the same category. They do not get along. The only similarity they both speak a Latin dialect. They also talk smack about each other.
Avatar 8:17am dale:

spamoni. all my pixie dust to you.
Avatar 8:18am spamoni:

Thanks Dale
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:19am testingwithfire:

@spamoni I'll be thinking of you today.

Good morning all, late morning due to clowns to the left and jokers to the right. Shrunken Planet kept me afloat.
  8:19am Andrew in Etobicoke:

@adrian elaine - that`s the same thing in Toronto.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23am Jeffrey Davison:

welcome Aaron Working In Newark, John from Florham Park, testingwithfire (thanks!)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:25am testingwithfire:

Avatar 8:26am dale:

Avatar 8:51am TDK60:

Gracias Jeffrey and Planeteers, see ya on a 3rd Saturday hopefully.
  8:54am melinda:

@testingwithfire Austin is expensive and has horrible traffic, and miserably hot summers, that’s the downside. The positive cultural stuff you hear about is there too. I grew up there and still visit family.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:54am Jeffrey Davison:

Mandy, welcome
Thanks everyone for being there...
  8:55am John from Florham park:
