Professor Squirrel? lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm ARB:

let me know what you guys think about a monday move, i'll be sad to leave this sweet thursday spot but my work schedule changed. I could keep it in this slot but it would be a squeeze
Avatar 1:06pm BC Sterrett:

I'll miss listening to your show right after mine, but I'll still tune in regardless of the day.
Avatar 1:07pm Franco Twinkie:

Realy? I just guessed looking at your picture.
Avatar 1:07pm Ursula1000:

I do love our 1-2 punch slot!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm ARB:

ˆme too! that's a big reason i would consider keeping it and dealing with the time crunch
Avatar 1:09pm BC Sterrett:

Ooh, I'm liking this Terry song a lot
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm ARB:

Okay I'll use Rich's formula, I'm the same age as Malcom X, MLK jr, Emiliano Zapata, Che Guevara, Dennis Wilson and Amelia Earhart when they all died
Avatar 1:12pm Martinibomb:

@ARB I'm trying to find newer music that fits sheena for my show and found this band Lola Lola doing stuff in your vein. Have you heard them? Any new acts doing popcorn/R&B stuff you'd recommend. PS.. check this song it's pretty cool youtu.be...
Avatar 1:13pm Martinibomb:

This Monchito track is super great
Avatar 1:14pm Martinibomb:

That Pao Pao is screaming, "Sample me!"
Avatar 1:14pm BC Sterrett:

Dancing with my cat
Avatar 1:14pm WR:

3 PM or 4 and I would be more likely to listen live. Before 3 PM Mondays are meetings and hectic updates. But that is just me.
Avatar 1:15pm Franco Twinkie:

Okay, so I was off by 7 years. At least I didn't err on the older side.
Avatar 1:15pm BC Sterrett:

Do you know what time Mondays ARB?
Avatar 1:16pm Martinibomb:

I can see Chris Elliot doing something great with this Ceasar's Pad music
Avatar 1:17pm Ursula1000:

of " Smokey Joe's La La " fame---essential 45!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm ARB:

@Martinibomb, no i don't know Lola Lola, I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip! Have you heard TT Syndicate? It's not exactly popcorn but contemporary exotica/tittyshakers from Portugal, it's good!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm ARB:

it would be the same time on mondays
Avatar 1:19pm Franco Twinkie:

I have a 45 of Flapjacks by Googie Rene. Which reminds me of my New Years resolution to eat more pancakes in 2020.
Avatar 1:19pm BC Sterrett:

Sweet! I'll be around :)
Avatar 1:19pm WR:

Ah, you've reached the eternal Jack Benny age. Looking at your list of celebrities who died at 39, I am having to reevaluate what Jack Benny was trying to to us. Do you think he was being political?
Avatar 1:21pm Martinibomb:

@arb have not heard TT putting them in my listening pool. Thanks If you hear of anything in the future...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm ARB:

yes I will! likewise
Avatar 1:28pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 1:29pm Martinibomb:

I like how minimal it is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:30pm ARB:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm JtotheK:

hiya Arb, hi everyone! Got here in time for the Mark Murphy track - nice one. And Happy Birthday!!!
Avatar 1:37pm Franco Twinkie:

Does anyone remember when War Of The Gargantuas was in regular circulation on channel 5?
Avatar 1:38pm BC Sterrett:

I love that movie, especially the torch singer scene
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm ARB:

hi JtotheK, thank you!
Avatar 1:39pm Mr Fab:

Ha, was thinking the same thing when I saw the title Gargantua. At least a couple versions of that song "The Words Get Stuck in my Throat" in the Sheena stream.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm JtotheK:

Re: Monday/Thursday - I'll admit Popcorn Thursday is a lot of fun but Mon/Thurs I'll listen either way - be it as it airs or archive.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Rich in Washington:

I played multiple versions of 'Words Get Stuck..' on my last show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm Rich in Washington:

Franco: the main thing that always stuck with me of that movie was that seemingly endless song and then the evil Gargantua's reaction to it.
Avatar 1:47pm Franco Twinkie:

Until I saw that movie on television, I thought the term Gargantua was something my mom made up when she was talking about creepy people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Otis Fodder:

Just got off 2 calls and missed so much good radio today. Wellp, I'm getting 10min of Cannibal Stew. Color this kid happy. Speaking of happy... HAPPY B-DAY DJ!
Avatar 1:50pm BC Sterrett:

What are you doing for your birthday ARB?
Avatar 1:50pm BC Sterrett:

Hi Otis :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Otis Fodder:

Arrrrggg matey, missed yer show. Will listen in the archives post U1K too-day.
Avatar 1:51pm BC Sterrett:

No prob, I listen to your archives all the time :)
Avatar 1:53pm Mr Fab:

The local stations used to play alot of movies on a fairly regular basis. I think I saw the original "War of the Worlds" like, 7 times? They'd show it at least once a year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm ARB:

Thanks all, it was Sunday, I went to the Holyland Exhibition here in Los Angeles, it's supposed to be the collection of the real man who inspired Indiana Jones but it's also kind of a creepy bible study run by a mother daughter who have spent their entire lives living in the museum and make you drink grape kool aid
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Otis Fodder:

Alina - Your show before or after Record Roulette Club on Mondays would be a crazy 2 hour block.

Blair - Maybe you could go 2 hours on Thursday. Nudge nudge. ;)
Avatar 1:56pm Franco Twinkie:

My dad liked Al Hirt. One time Al was in a parade and someone threw a brick and clocked him on the head, and for some reason my dad thought it was funny! Maybe he had changed his mind about Al's talent.

Avatar 1:58pm WR:

Great last set. Excellent show. Thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Rich in Washington:

Crap movies were pretty abundant, as local TV stations owned their copies outright, usually bought along with 'classic' films, and had time to fill, which was why we used to have latenight movies, afternoon movies, etc., along with your local weatherman donning a cape and greasepaint and howling like a werewolf between (local) commercial breaks.
Then local networks started running infomercials because they generated more revenue and cable people like Ted Turner started snapping up even the shittiest movies.
It really SHOULD be in the bill of rights that you can turn on the tv at 2am and see a monster movie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Rich in Washington:

Great show, ARB! We'll follow you anywhere!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm chresti:

Thanks Alina! Alas, I'll miss your new time slot, due to work :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Otis Fodder:

The Naughty Rooster probably threw that brick at Al!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Otis Fodder:

Yes, follow Alina. I started to follow the Rooster. Bad idea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm ARB:

Let's all go here for Ursusla's The "The" show! www.wfmu.org...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Otis Fodder:
