Avatar 10:22pm jt:

wait.. is this for real? this story:
"A few days ago a package arrived at Tuluum Shimmering Records HQ in a plain mailer with no return address. It contained only a vintage reel of audio tape in its box, along with a loose slightly crumpled picture of a train with hand drawn lettering reading "FRIMLEY EMBANKMENT". The tape itself is marked "FRIMLEY 1-8-72 MONO". It would appear to be a raw audio document of a studio session by a band called Frimley Embankment in 1972. I can find no information about any group of this name, so all we can go on at this point is the internal evidence on the tape. From the accents the group would appear to be from the south west of England. Hampshire, and more particularly the Andover region seem a possibility. If anyone has any information about the group, or indeed knows the current whereabouts of any of its members, we at TSR would love to know. The tape is here presented in full. Sincerest thanks to our mystery benefactor."

That story reminds me of when John Lurie pretended to be some obscure dude named Marvin Pontiac and got Flea to write about listening to bootlegs of Marvin Pontiac when he was a kid.

Listening via the Bluetooth speakers built into the headrest of my Japanese robotic zero-gravity Kahuna massage chair while getting deep tissue trance workout after consuming a large Ethiopian feast might be the best headspace I’ve found yet to hang out in the Ghetto. Happy New Year to you Jeff!
