A one-hour exploration of excavations from the farthest reaches of humanity’s hellish collective brain, through records, tapes, CDs, mostly scoured from country bumpkin thrift stores, creepy charity shops, backwoods junk stores, and even the internet. We don’t judge, we just play ‘em. Hosted by Rich in Washington, coming to you from H3 Studios, high atop Larch Mountain.

Hi folks. I don't have the vaguest idea what I will do.
No, actually I DO. I'm just being me.
Avatar 6:53pm Martinibomb:

Oh hullo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm Rich in Washington:

Hi MB! Do you got the power?
Avatar 6:54pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 6:56pm Don-O:

Oh, Crabs!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm Rich in Washington:

I just put something in there as a placeholder title and sometimes I don't bother to change it. But I DID have a lovely crab salad over the holidays, so there's that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Guess who's attempting to stay up past her bedtime? :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01pm Rich in Washington:

Imma start out the gate somewhat noisy. I got some bad juju I need to blow out of my system.
Avatar 7:01pm Don-O:

Stop talking to yourself, Rich. It's embarrassing!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

I'm mesmerised by the Jesuses
Avatar 7:02pm coelacanth∅:

hey Rich and others
Avatar 7:02pm Don-O:

Could this bad mojo be train related!?!?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm Rich in Washington:

My friend Christine posted that whole video on my FB timeline. It's nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03pm Rich in Washington:

I'm glad you're staying up with us, GG!
Hi everybody! Thanks for tuning in! Hope the noise isn't too off-putting. It's necessary.
  7:04pm CC:

it sounds like the volume dropped way low on your program after the first five seconds!!!
Avatar 7:04pm coelacanth∅:

some of those jesuses are doing these roundhouse maneuvers that might also cause tornaders
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04pm Rich in Washington:

this is the sound of me screaming because I can't find my Steven Jesse Bernstein CD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:05pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Those are some street fightin' Jesuses!
Avatar 7:07pm well-paid city engineer∅:

so - if we put in Bigger traffic circles around the regular ones and have the traffic go the opposite direction will that stop the tornadoes?
Avatar 7:08pm well-paid city engineer∅:

- i mean, tornaders
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Good point!
  7:10pm CC:

maybe you could install some Australian traffic circles to cancel everything out???
Avatar 7:12pm Don-O:

Cadillac?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm Rich in Washington:

like cattle act
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23pm Rich in Washington:

Avatar 7:24pm coelacanth∅:

traffic circle guy reminds me of someone i know (and like; a good guy) who told me he thinks showering will make your hair fall out because of the erosive action of the water beating on your scalp.
Avatar 7:25pm coelacanth∅:

Tor is Ralph's dizzy brother
  7:25pm CC:

Some kind of extra channel kicked in and the volume went back up???
  7:25pm CC:

now it's back down again???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Rich in Washington:

CC: Yeah, I'm sort of tweaking stuff. Had some bad juju with technology today.
Avatar 7:27pm huomenta:

Good evening! These musical choices are an excellent accompaniment to the Helsingin Sanomat (finnish newspaper) I am reading online atm. Georgy Girl, I quite envy your ability to read so many books so fast (re: your show's comment board). I am a s------l------o-------w reader.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:33pm Kat in Chicago:

This is nice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38pm Rich in Washington:

Oh man. I wish I had that! It's my goal to own every Ralph Records 7" that came out. Sadly, I don't have that.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:44pm Rich in Washington:

thee kids at the radio station love playing things off their spotify and really low quality youtube videos
Avatar 8:44pm Mr Fab:

Tho the Residents produced/performed on it, it came out on Wall of Voodoo's label, Index Records. You can dl it here: myfreemp3c.com
  8:45pm CC:

I believe I still have the only stereo version of What Now My Love... by Mitch Ryder on YouTube???
Avatar 8:47pm Mr Fab:

I saw Morton Subotnick demonstrate a new method he was working with at the tme - you play an artist's music on a computer, but change it by moving the mouse around. Interactive music, instead of a record that sounds exactly the same everytime you play it. Wonder what hapenned to it?
Avatar 8:47pm Martinibomb:

Thanks for the audio today RFW
  8:51pm CC:

Rich... I always meant to ask you...are you from Washington state or from Washington DC???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm Rich in Washington:

I am in Washington state, just across the river from Portland Ore-Gone.
  8:57pm CC:

Oh man... the fatherland of grunge... I can't believe it..!..I loved it when Big Hair Rock and Arena Rock had to take a back seat and grunge brought back the basics of rock and roll..!.
Avatar 8:58pm Mr Fab:

YaaaaY! I was fairly obsessed with this record as a youth.
  8:59pm CC:

Great show babe!!!
Avatar 8:59pm Mr Fab:

Gary Panter = Emmy-winning art director of "Pee Wee's Playhouse."
