3:03pm Listener Phillip In Bronx Little Italy:

  3:04pm Beetlemuse:

Happy new year everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:06pm Michael 98145:

Always will be one of the best shows on the station
  3:06pm Beetlemuse:

I like the calendar for it is the year of the rat!
  3:10pm Laura L:

Only 9 hours into the new year and it's already bleak--blocking out all the financial leaks is exhausting!
  3:13pm Listener Bop Monroe:

greetings from hungover Tannersville.

career, fortune and romance.... yep, thats about right, damnit.
  3:22pm Listener Bop Monroe:

oh.... the carpenters!!
Avatar 3:23pm Irwin:

How many listening today have 2020 WFMU calendars?
Avatar 3:28pm Davee:

Not I
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Doobois:

Thanks for the reminder, Irwin. Time to flip it to the new year.
Avatar 3:32pm coelacanth∅:

so today we have music for people who don't have hangovers.
i did go out but i managed to control myself.
except for the usual chronic pain and a new arm injury i feel pretty damn good
Avatar 3:33pm coelacanth∅:

i didn't know there was a 2020 wfmu calendar. are there sickeningly cute rats on it?
Avatar 3:34pm Irwin:

Coel: check out my marathon 2019 playlists.
  3:34pm Beetlemuse:

That's good @Coel except the arm lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Zats, I neglected to order the WFMU calendar premium. If there was a WFMU calendar to view or print online, that would be neat. It would have birthdays of important musicians and such.
  3:35pm Listener Bop Monroe:

hangovers put the world in perspective, kinda like take out menu calendar predictions. your fortune numbers are 91 and one.
  3:36pm hudes:

2020 will be Glorious ~ Thanks WFMU for always being there
Avatar 3:36pm Irwin:

There are leftover calendars which can be obtained with a pledge. Contact jmcgasko@wfmu.org and inquire.
Avatar 3:36pm coelacanth∅:

well, crap, Irwin -how did i overlook that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I trust the calendar includes a February 29, right?
Avatar 3:40pm Irwin:

It's a 2020 calendar, Ken. Also good for 2048 and 2076.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Metal Rat on the 25th.
Stay well-oiled & bang the cheeses out of yer head.
May you live in interesting times.
May the inventor of autocorrect be nibbled to death slowly...
Avatar 3:42pm coelacanth∅:

i think if i had a wfmu calendar i might even flip it to the current month more than every 3-4 months, but i'm tapped.
at least i got the cassette>cd premium. that one keeps on giving! Thanks Irwin
  3:43pm Beetlemuse:

I got the wfmu tshirt with the rat on it :D and a bumpy sticker
  3:43pm BH:

"Why does your Calendar say 1992?"
"It's called being thrifty"
  3:45pm P-90:

Happy New Year, Irwin and all the Irwin People.
Avatar 3:52pm Martinibomb:

Happy New Decade. I think I have this on a Bizarre Sampler- "Zapped"
  4:03pm flashbazbo:

Nice to hear a Zappa riff and not remember the title. Great riff I mean
  4:12pm Listener Robert:

Two thousand twenty WFMU calendars, Irwin?! I don't even have ONE! But Glen Jones and X. Ray Burns did send a card.
Avatar 4:16pm Irwin:

Robert: See above to get one.
  4:17pm Listener Robert:

I'm at an age where I get hangovers without even having drunk enough to get drunk, and so it was this morning. But last night when I had heartburn and my friend's son passed me his Glenlivet to take a swig, doing so actually took away my heartburn for an hour, and it wasn't bad even when it came back. I'd expected booze to make heartburn worse, but maybe that's true only of the cheap stuff.
  4:21pm Listener Robert:

My calendars feature rodents because they come from Jax, who supply lab mice and rats.

I suspect a catalog like theirs is what inspired "Germ-Free Adolescents". I think that's a type of lab animal you can get.
  4:29pm Laura L:

Noel Coward said it: "Work is much more fun than fun."
Avatar 4:33pm Irwin:

Noel Coward attends ghastly children's recital. Mother points proudly to her performing daughter and asks, "Do you like music?" Coward: "No, but I like this."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm G:

So Coward would have loved The Shaggs
  4:43pm johnzo:

genious. fun fact Viv Stanshall is NOT Paul McCartney
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Can Monk actually be transcribed - or do the staves all get angular...
Avatar 4:55pm coelacanth∅:

G you might be onto something there
Avatar 5:01pm Fredericks:
