yo it's time for Duggy Lounder!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi MB! Hi everybody!
Avatar 2:01pm Martinibomb:

This is a cool song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Jan Turkenburg:

It used to be the signature song.
Avatar 2:03pm Martinibomb:

Good choice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Otis Fodder:

Hi Jan & MB. Happy Friday to ya!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Otis!
Avatar 2:05pm Mr Fab:

AH, "Vreemde Geluiden", now I know where your show name comes from. And Google translate says it means "Strange noises." It all makes sense now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Jan Turkenburg:

:-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Otis Fodder:

Nice photo, I see Ton and Marco in there! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Alina Brennaman:

Simply pleased to be Here Again
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Mr. Fab!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Alina!
Avatar 2:07pm ubunoir:

Hello! Marcin from Istota Ssąca here. Greetings from Wrocław, Poland! :)
  2:07pm Domenic:

Baby Elephant walk in that 1st track What a riot. The picture I recognize Ton and Marco..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Marcin! Welcome to Sheena's Jungle Room!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Domenic! I played a different rendition of Baby Elephant's walk each week.
Avatar 2:12pm Sem:

Hiya, Jan, and all. Along for the whole ride.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Sem!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:12pm Otis Fodder:

This Herman Apple Xmas record is in every bin here in Quebec. Great Canadian percussion xmas record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:15pm Jan Turkenburg:

Otis, I played a track of that album on Radio Focus, but found it hard to find any info on him online, other than he was/is a Canadian musican and conductor...
Avatar 2:16pm Martinibomb:

really enjoying the show today Jan great sounds and I hate xmas
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Otis Fodder:

Did not hear about Herman Apple until I moved here. It's really just that one record, but I did find a 7" where he did some promo stuff for dog food in the 60s. I see his name popup on cover credits sometimes, but don't know much, just that he is from Montreal and that Xmas percussion record is a gem.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm Jan Turkenburg:

That makes two (at least) of us. X-mas used to be a friend of mine, but that was long ago and I don't think we'll ever be on speaking terms again...
Avatar 2:19pm Sem:

God Bless Tiny Tim.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm Otis Fodder:

What Sem said. God Bless him.
Avatar 2:26pm Martinibomb:

Marco :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:29pm Otis Fodder:

I love the early Popp records. Outside of Delirium of course... 'Paris 1925' and 'Presenting Popp' are huge favs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Otis Fodder:

I could listen to a whole show of just this Popp mix. Bravo Marco!
  2:36pm Domenic:

Did I hear Bella Bartok! i love Bartok!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37pm Jan Turkenburg:

Jonne had had piano lessons for bearly 1 year at that time...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm Otis Fodder:

This is wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm Jan Turkenburg:

After this piece I ask him: I notice that play a lot more notes with your left hand than are in your book and he answered, yes: I saw my teacher playing them from the corner of my eyes and I've put that in my head.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:42pm Jan Turkenburg:

He comes from a very kind family. They always were there when i played somewhere. I'm thinking to look them up coming year and see how they are doing now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm Otis Fodder:

I am sure they would love to hear from you. This segment (interview/lesson) has me smiling. Just great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:43pm Otis Fodder:

More Marco!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm Jan Turkenburg:

I notice now he announces other titles than I have here... I'll try to reconstruct..
Avatar 2:47pm Mr Fab:

Weirdomusic. hadn't thought of that name for a while. Good resource in the early days of the www. They had all those audio streams, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Jan Turkenburg:

Are we talking about the same weirdomusic?
Marco had/has a site called weirdomusic.com on which he listed all sharities he could find each week back in the days. Can't recall he also had streams
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Jan Turkenburg:

Weirdomusic used to be his artist name as well.
  2:55pm Domenic:

Hi, lets greing this up on the "Once there was a marvelous mailing list"? on facebook. This is so neat.
Avatar 2:56pm Martinibomb:

I used to chat with Marco all the time back in the day. Super groovy person.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm Jan Turkenburg:

He's still very much alive and kicking, but music is his job now and is too busy too chat a lot these days. wmdigitalservices.nl...
Avatar 3:02pm Mr Fab:

Wasn't it weirdomusic that had all those radio channels? One for exotica, one for psych, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm Jan Turkenburg:

That I don't recall...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Otis Fodder:

Trying to rack my brain too. I do remember Marco's lists of sites. For stream links, was it PCL Linkdump or another site? Maybe Marco has stream links too. It's all such a memory blur.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Otis Fodder:

We were ALL sharing so much. It's hard enough trying to remember what we shared. Ha.
Avatar 3:07pm Martinibomb:

I have to run an errand but I am leaving Frame Duggy Louder on for my Cat... so Jan you are DJn for a cat right now. :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Jan Turkenburg:

@MB LOL!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Otis Fodder:

I do the same thing MB when I leave, Bunjee never fills me on what happened though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Jan Turkenburg:

I'm doing that each day :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Jan Turkenburg:

Something Completely different. Clemens is a local composer library and film music. I did a special on him at VG a few years ago at radio ZOO.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm Otis Fodder:

Really liked that cut from Clemens.

And oh wow, look at Ton's Tracklist. All great here! All Xtian Favs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm Jan Turkenburg:

Ton chose this particular episode for today himself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm Jan Turkenburg:

And these segments of Marco and Ton won't be the last that will be re-ared on FDL. I'll tell you in a few minutes :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:22pm Otis Fodder:

Tuned in!
Avatar 3:26pm geezerette:

Dropped in!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm chresti:

Glad tidings to duggy louders!

Yep! This has been a wonderful show so far, Jan. Happy to be a part of it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm Otis Fodder:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm Otis Fodder:

Bookmarked to check out over the weekend, thanks Jan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

It's mainly my throat. I'm cutting a bit of an Ursula Andress vibe ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Otis Fodder:

More Dr. No than Casino Royale, but maybe a touch of What's New Pussycat vox wise!
Avatar 3:41pm geezerette:

Otis, glad you're better.
GG, more tea! Chamomile is good for throats.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Digging what I'm hearing! I shall have to catch up with the rest over the weekend :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

You know you've reached adulthood when you don't care how bad medicine tastes ;-)
Avatar 3:47pm geezerette:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Jan Turkenburg:

I love how the madness kicks in more and more in this mix!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm DJ GeorgyGirl:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Otis Fodder:
