Tech question: Is there a way to take an old Duane Train show from the 2018 archives and put it on my mp3 player? I right-clicked the pop up player, saved it; but it just seemed to save as text and not a playable file. Help please..

mb: I know there used to be a way to download the archives as MP3s, there was a direct link that bypassed the player script action and took you directly to where they were stored. WFMU might've closed that loophole, as I was unable to do it last time I tried. I would also really like to know!

@mb: you just inspired me to figure this out for offline listening! you just have to right click on the "Listen - MP3" link in an archived playlist, 'download linked file' and then download the m3u file. you open up the m3u file in notepad, and that should open a web address that you copy/paste into your browser. from there just open the webpage and you should be able to right click on the 'video player' and 'download video (as)...' and it saves to your downloads as an mp3!!!

@mb: yes I actually just went through some older playlists and realized that the mp3 link only goes back a few weeks from today, probably as long as they manage to keep archived playlists on the iPhone app. so get it while it's hot I suppose!
