It's all coming to fruition.

Wearing a rather nice lid at the moment, yet another beret from New Zealand Dann. Dind and another ding and yet a third. Hey, Mary, and 100%-ers everywhere or wherever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm Carmichael:

Heya Mary and wing nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:07pm Rich in Washington:

I'm 101% here!
Avatar 12:11pm Mary Wing:

Hello Brian, ParUbi, Sem, Carmichael, and Rich!
Are all your berets black, Sem? Or are you a colorful rascal?
Avatar 12:14pm Sem:

Mostly black, but a canary yellow, a cobalt, and a tasteful mid-grey also see the light of day, on occasion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm chresti:

Hi whatever wingers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:16pm ParUbi:

Hi Chresti!
Avatar 12:16pm βrian:

I lost my slate-blue beret, and I'm too loyal to replace it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm chresti:

Hi ParUbi!
Avatar 12:20pm Mary Wing:

Good morning, chresti!
Avatar 12:21pm Sem:

@βrian: quel dommage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:21pm Rich in Washington:

I'm wearing a fez, for the record.
Avatar 12:21pm Mary Wing:

I'd like to learn to crochet next year, and make myself a beret out of fleece yarn. I no longer want to buy wool hats because they get moth-eaten, which sucks.
Avatar 12:24pm Sem:

Rich, I never figured you for a Shriner.
Avatar 12:24pm βrian:

I mean, what would Corporal LeBeau do?
Avatar 12:27pm Sem:

He's a long-lived son of a gun, still kicking at 94. Bet HE has a beret of some vintage.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm doctorjazz:

Hi Mary and you 100 percenters!
Avatar 12:35pm βrian:

I'm off to the squid cart. Starving!
Avatar 12:36pm Franco Twinkie:

Hi Mary. I have this vaguely ethnic looking knit hat I bought sometime in the mid 80's on the street downtown when it was snowing. Just yesterday, I was looking at it laying on a pile of books covered with dust. I think it was a popular hat, because sometime later I saw it in a movie, and also some guy in a band had one as well. What is my point? Well I believe it is a synthetic and therefore it will most likely last forever.
Avatar 12:36pm Mary Wing:

Howdy doctorjazz and Franco!
Avatar 12:38pm Hubig Pie:

I'm new here. I have no hat but I like the tunes
Avatar 12:42pm Mary Wing:

Hats can be arranged, Hubig, welcome!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm Carmichael:

I only wear baseball-style caps. And NEVER backwards, as that is an IQ indicator ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm ParUbi:

These lyrics
Avatar 12:48pm Roberto:

I got that retro WFMU tee from the Hellraiser. The original is supposed to be from the '70s but Jandek is one of the artists listed. Does his infamy really go back that far?
Avatar 12:49pm Mary Wing:

No, Roberto, they replaced a genre listed on the original version with Jandek, heh.
Avatar 12:49pm Roberto:

Fo reals?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm Ike:

What they should have changed was "news". News on WFMU?!? The 70s must've been weird, man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm ParUbi:

Having a lawn in a desert is @#$%
Avatar 12:50pm Mary Wing:

So they tell me, Roberto! I think they should have used "Reggae" but then I'm biased.
Avatar 12:50pm Roberto:

Lolz, thanks for clearing that up!
Avatar 12:54pm Franco Twinkie:

In 1973 myself and two friends were in the Tower Records on Sunset Blvd. and we saw Corporal LeBeau. Mike who is very tall positioned himself directly across from Frenchy and was pretending to flip albums but was really just starring at Le Beau, who looked exasperated. This probably happened often, he was very recognizable. The funny thing was, Mike, who would become somewhat famous himself would go on to be one of the founders of Earth First! the radical eco- warriors. Mike was the guy who is credited with inventing tree spiking

  1:24pm spodiodi:

ahoy, Mary Wing & Whatever. enjoying the show, thank you :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm doctorjazz:

Out of the room for California, just love that song.
Enjoying Involuntary Jaw Spam (though the thought of it males me shudder).
BTW, Mary, did you find The Microscopic Septet music? (I'd guess the FMU library did have some). If not, I did dig up the CDs.
Avatar 1:26pm βrian:

... well, that was delicious!
Avatar 1:28pm Sem:

Lovin' this Waits in tango time.
Avatar 1:31pm Mary Wing:

Hiya Ike, spodiodi and doctorjazz!
I got your email, doctorjazz, will reply later!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Phillippe Bastille:

There are some songs that just shouldn't me messed with. Super Freak, fortunately, isn't one of them.
Avatar 2:25pm Hubig Pie:

I just knew there would be a bluegrass version
Avatar 2:27pm βrian:

I so want to hear the Arvo Pärt cover of this!
Avatar 2:27pm Mary Wing:

Heh.
Avatar 2:34pm βrian:

A Frank Sinatra version would be fine, too.
Avatar 2:39pm Mary Wing:

A simulation is coming.
Avatar 2:41pm βrian:

Heh, more like Fred Lane.
Avatar 2:44pm Roberto:

Holy carp, I favorited a Dave Matthews track.
Avatar 2:44pm βrian:

Did the Commodores ever cover this?
Avatar 2:47pm Mary Wing:

Can't find one, Brian, bummer.
Avatar 2:49pm Roberto:

I was wondering if this would qualify as an OAK.
Avatar 2:51pm Hubig Pie:

Did'nt Der Kommissar rip off Super Freak also ?
Avatar 2:51pm Franco Twinkie:

I worked on two MC Hammer videos. Dealing with the man was.....interesting.
Avatar 2:54pm Mary Wing:

Were you in charge of the hammer pants?
Avatar 2:55pm Mary Wing:

Oh, maybe, Hubig Pie--I don't think I have time to play it though.
Avatar 2:55pm Roberto:

On second thought...
Avatar 2:56pm Franco Twinkie:
