thanks fer the Nuggets LK!!!
  3:15pm SethF:

Lenny’s inflection when he sings “constellations” sounds so much like Jim Carroll singing “confirmation” in “Catholic Boy”. So cool!

Hello everyone,

My mother loved your interview with the young musician/record reviewer (last week? two weeks ago? I have lost track of time).
  3:31pm Listener Bop Monroe:

btw, greetings from Tannersville.

howdy mr K!
my brother eugene, his friends sandy and nick used to be part of the front row crew back in the PSB CBGBs residencies. Used to tape you guys and probably still has that stuff somewhere on the back porch in boxes.

How is it that the production of child is father to the man is so much clearer and the guitar show much stronger than these contemporary recordings?
  3:51pm Jett:

"Crazy Like A Fox" and "Child Bride" have made several appearances on my radio show on another station. Lot's of sixties type Nuggets and Pebbles make frequent appearances.
  3:53pm Frank Zaatar:

So wait--Pushin' Too Hard is the "seed" (sorry) of pretty much every Smith/Kaye composition, isn't it?

Bleecker Bob hated everybody but for some reason he always liked me, I got along very well with him, also Broadway Al. I will miss Bob. I also miss that store.

Avatar 5:25pm charlie brown:

I could spend all day in the record store, but there is always somebody tearing me away. Favorite patti song "citizenship" from wave.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm Switchblade Batman:

@Meillsa Jean, parts of it sure. Lots of love for Philly. But the poconos...? It really wasn't cool in the 90s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm Mr. Pumpy:

@Jett...I guess I got on with him alright, but his prices were usually ridiculous. I did get the Beastie Boys' Polly Wog Stew 7" there for a good price. I think that was my only true conquest at Bleecker Bob's. I used to go to Second Coming around the corner...and also, damn...I can't remember. Another good record shop just south of the park over there. Fond memories. This show is killing me!
Avatar 5:26pm Motobro:

Thank you Todd,

Lenny, Merry Christmas to you and yours, and thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Switchblade Batman:

Shit maybe things changed, I dunno. I avoid going back there unless I have to.
  5:27pm George in WO:

Pretty fun to hang out with Lenny Kaye and Toddophonic on a saturday afternoon! Great show. Cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm Mr. Pumpy:

Then there were a couple on 8th St. Venus ...Revolver, I think. Damn...I couldn't even drive. I had to take the bus and path from NJ. But hunting for vinyl was worth it.
  5:30pm MFlynn:

Todd, remember Cheap Thrills records in New Brunswick? Awesome store
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm Melissa Jean:

my new favorite Christmas songs rite there
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm Mr. Pumpy:

Cheap Thrills was great! I lived down there for a while and was quite pleased to have that in the neighborhood. Not to mention I would hit Vintage Vinyl on my way back to my dad's in Nutley. VV was a third of the size back then.
  5:32pm tom:

todd....pardon the cache...but your not a nugget...your a gem...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:35pm radioronan:

It is X-mas everyday that Lenny is on the airwaves. Thanks Todd & Lenny for all the stories & history.
  5:38pm Jett:

@Mr. Pumpy, yes I do miss those days. I remember 99 records, Golden Disc, Record Runner, Free Being, a few other cool places. Bob's prices were tough but I managed to get some good deals.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm Mr. Pumpy:

@Jett...respect! I just didn't have the patience sometimes. What was fun though was going to Bleecker Bob's anyhow and then seeing if I could sniff something out at half the price around town. I still collect, but the pre-internet days were so much more exciting.
  5:48pm Jett:

@Mr. Pumpy, I completely agree. That era means so much to me. I loved sniffing out great items! There was nothing like it! Much respect!
Avatar 5:50pm charlie brown:
