Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:03pm brainiac:

I can't tell what this woman's $15 outfit is accentuating. Any guesses?
  3:04pm Matt from NYC:

What was that last track I’m going nuts trying to figure it out! Pocket so deep it’s like Michael Bloomberg without an icy heart!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:05pm Irwin:

Matt, that was Duane's show. Check his playlist.
  3:07pm Jeff:

Help from New Brunswick Canada. Love this show - love WFMU
  3:07pm Jeff:

Er Hello - not help. Stupid giant thumbs.
  3:08pm Keith in Vermont:

Nice outfit. And a bargain at $15. Does this ass make my clothes look big?
  3:08pm Matt from NYC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Irwin:

Imagine someone wearing it who doesn't have that contour.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Itzall ClearD'me Nåu:

HELP and be quick about it, please. Hi Irwin, is that one of your flea market art finds?!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm zopa:

only $15?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm brainiac:

@Irwin: This could be a whole subset of People of Walmart
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Irwin:

g/f Lisa found it on FB.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm Itzall ClearD'me Nåu:

The colorful outfit- seems to be drawing the eye in... to...something? I give up.
  3:18pm Keith in Vermont:

Reminds me a bit of the bizarre speed skating outfits in the last Olympics. What were they thinking?
  3:18pm Listener Robert:

Nice rainbow here now in Andover NJ -- the inverted kind, violet on the inside, red on the outside. I love shiny colorful things: rainbows, fireworks, meteors, Christmas decorations, neon signs and other lights. OK, the meteors aren't usually colorful.
  3:19pm Keith in Vermont:

Oh yeah, the music's great, too.
  3:20pm Listener Robert:

The lady's pretty too, except too made up.
Avatar 3:22pm Pierre Delecto:

On the question of whether Epstein killed himself or not, I defer to Nostradamus, who predicted Epstein will not kill himself.
3:25pm Listener Phillip In The Bronx:

good afternoon IRWIN. happy you are there instead of a fill-in. my roommate "donnie the dope head" is having another weed party with his GF.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm brainiac:

I understand Target is preparing a version of this outfit utilizing their bullseye logo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm mb:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm Irwin:

Pierre, ever fly on the Lolita Express?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm brainiac:

@Listener Phillip, you might take a look at this stocking stuffer for Donnie's gf:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm mb:

I miss your calypso show, Irwin. That harkens back to the days of my FMU breaking in period.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm brainiac:

his & hers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Irwin:

Does that outfit have a cultural pedigree?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Irwin:

mb: I have a new (old) calypso track planned for today's show.
Avatar 3:45pm Hoboken Jack:

Hola all and pre-Thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Irwin:

Greetings, Jackie me lad. You have T-day plans?
  3:48pm sim:

sounds like Eternal Summers
Avatar 3:57pm Hoboken Jack:

Loosely defined plans, yes.
  3:57pm Tennessee Jeb:

Avatar 4:01pm Ben in Highland:

digging that Peel Dream Magazine track, gonna check out more of them
Avatar 4:02pm Pierre Delecto:

Not all of Mozart's paintings were masterpieces.
  4:03pm ?:

"Delilah" written by Victor Young.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Irwin:

Can't be the same tune, izzit?
  4:04pm ?:

That's what it says at https://wyntonmarsalis.org/discography/title/motherless-brooklyn-original-motion-picture-soundtrack under Credits
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Irwin:

Then it's an arrangement of a PD title and that would make Marsalis the composer. New copyright.
  4:10pm Colleen:

omg...just got here!!....just in time!!

  4:15pm Laura L:

Yay, the one great TMoDM album, thanks, Irwin!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm Irwin:

Agreed, LL.
  4:28pm Listener Robert:

mb, I've been going thru Muriel's Treasure (Irwin's calypso hour archive) lately because most of the time the segment ran originally it conflicted with my work schedule. And then I'd forgotten about it for years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm Irwin:

LL, what's the title translation? I tried and the results were nonsensical.
Avatar 4:51pm Pierre Delecto:

I dream about elk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:51pm Irwin:

TMI, Pierre.
  4:55pm Laura L:

Was off the comments for a few mins. Sollen es doch alle wissen = As we all know.

  5:08pm Laura L:

Got to leave early--going to German Consulate General for a Wolfgang Rihm concert! So happy Thanksgiving and auf Wiedersehen!
  5:09pm G:

IC always seems to know that jazz sweet spot between too poppy/cheesy on the one side, and on the other hand so angular and all-over-the-place that it's work to listen to.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Irwin:

LL: See you Saturday at the Sears edifice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Irwin:

Thank you, G. I love jazz, and love brunch, but I HATE JAZZ BRUNCH. Anything too smoove, keep it away.
  5:13pm G:

Anyone who's ever worked the restaurant industry hates brunch.
  5:30pm queems:

i was driving just now and thought “this guy thinks he’s nada surf” and lo and behold
Avatar 5:34pm Pierre Delecto:

Don't ever lend Ken a bar of soap. You'll never get it back.
  5:36pm Listener Robert:

Living in a hole like a mole on the dole. -- Just, I don't know what to say about how great that lyric is.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm Irwin:

It's only one way to be ...
  5:45pm ?:

Most perfectest show ever, Irwin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm Irwin:

Should I quit now, go home early? What if I eff it up?
  5:46pm Listener Robert:

Oh. I just got Pierre's joke. Was too subtle for me until I thought a long time.
Avatar 5:47pm Pierre Delecto:

I was serious. I have no sense of irony.
  5:47pm Jim D.:

That Purr track makes a nice chord change.
  5:49pm Bernard:

The lady's suit is pretty cool. Reminds me of the Colombian women's cycling uniforms.
  5:50pm Listener Robert:

How often are shows spoiled with late fuckups, as opposed to saved by late saves? I remember one 7SD that was a train wreck but then Ken got me LOL with his closing, approximately, "You spilled the man's drink, you made the baby vomit...we're outta here." His summary and blaming Andy made the whole hour worthwhile.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Irwin:

Think I can close this one. Send the bullpen home. A COMPLETE GAME.
  5:52pm Listener Robert:

But they're sending up their toughest records to bat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Irwin:

M'arm feels good.
  5:54pm spodiodi:

ahoy - missed the show, but in time to know i'm in the market for a new unitard. thanks, Irwin! enjoying the last few tracks
  5:54pm Listener Robert:

Arm's good, but what about the needle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Carmichael:

Quite Zappa/ELP ish
  5:56pm Listener Robert:

I'm deciding whether to listen to Jim the Poet and make Bob here wait until 9:00 or let him now listen to his Christian devotional mix CD for the second time today?
  5:56pm spodiodi:

Paul Lynde 4EVR
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm mariano:
