I guess I've heard that Elvis track before (I've seen Viva Las Vegas) but man, if that's not a road not taken. That's got to be one of the most uptown Elvis takes ever.
I was thinking of Scott Walker when Therese played Jacque Brel earlier. Think of him a lot as Nite Flights is stuck in the car CD player, it plays, but won't eject.
Aha ... I see the Grey Cup is on. Will it be the Hamilton Tiger-Cats or the Winnipeg Blue Bombers? I'm not going to spoil the surprise. Hello, Gaylord and clue-seekers.
Holy cannoli! This instrumental version of "What Is Life" is amazing! Like discovering something you love all over again. Awesome. Hugs to ya Gaylord:)

Greetings from the PNW - just settling in for the evening, with some of the best programing around. Love Fabienne Delsol, and that Purple Wizard track sounded like a band to investigate further. Thanks from me as well for the Scott Walker!
@Aitch: It happens… Last week at work I mixed up Rodney Allen Rippy with Dick Gregory when I really meant Nipsey Russell when I inadvertently made a basic rhyme without intending to.
Lisa and I saw David Amram at the Jazz Forum in Tarrytown last week. He played Phil Ochs' "When I'm Gone." Amram is 89, and he tore the place apart. He's the nicest guy in show biz. How nice? Nicer than YOU, Gaylord! Just a tad.
Great show. Was listening while doing shopping and chores. So I have lots of ggling to do on what you've played. Chores not finished yet but wanted to say thanks before you wrap up. Phil Ochs brings a tear. Take care all, looking forward to our next round.
