Avatar 7:03pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 7:06pm Don-O:

I mentioned Rapper's Delight on DJ Georgey Girls show, so I can't be trusted with normal requests. Hmm, something by Tipsy?
Avatar 7:08pm Martinibomb:

Ooh Yeah! Tipsy gawd I love them. Possibly in my top 5 fave bands along with DEVO, Sparks etc..
Avatar 7:09pm Martinibomb:

I think I shall play a couple Tipsy songs in a row
Avatar 7:10pm Don-O:

I heard their first album when I walked in Aaron's Records in West LA and I was knocked out!
Avatar 7:10pm Martinibomb:

I've been thinking about them a lot lately
Avatar 7:11pm Martinibomb:

I wish I could have seen them live I've always been curious how they did live sets
Avatar 7:14pm Don-O:

Yea, it seems that they put out an album every 10 years. Now their site is down. I think they are trying to tell us something......?!
Avatar 7:14pm Martinibomb:

@Don-o honestly if I could just make 1 song as good as them I could die happy

Adventures With Tipsy!
Avatar 7:25pm Don-O:

I now have this impulse to download everything from the Comfort Stand catalog
Avatar 7:27pm Martinibomb:

Hahah! Comfort Stand was kind of amazing. Sort of the ultimate utopian dream of audio in the 21st century. Instead we have Spotify.
Avatar 7:27pm Martinibomb:

I should make a documentary about Comfort Stand

Avatar 8:11pm Mr Fab:

Home at last, cocktail in hand. Was diggin the Tipsy on the drive home. Mad hectisism today - earlier, I was out of internet range (thank you, Santa Monica mountains) so I would have said to not worry about The Flange and Frigate not playing - I loaded it in correctly, sometimes it just takes a couple minutes to play for unknown reasons
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm ParUbi:

So that was some sort of free music netlabel?
Avatar 8:12pm Martinibomb:

@ParUbi correct! Started/Run by our own Otis Fodder
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm ParUbi:

Avatar 8:12pm Martinibomb:

hey Fab! I need a cocktail
Avatar 8:13pm Martinibomb:

Ooh ya know what I'm gonna do is put this King Black Acid -- Superstar track on next and go grab a beer at the corner market.. the track is 9min!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm Richard S:

You can still find them at the Internet Archive:
Avatar 8:14pm Mr Fab:

Except for that lame track 9, this is a good ‘un:
Avatar 8:14pm Martinibomb:

@Richard the original comfortstand should still be online?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:16pm Richard S:

HEY! I *LIKE* Bossa Super Nova!!!
Avatar 8:17pm Mr Fab:

Ha, thanks Richard.

Oh, reading the chat, “Flange and Frigate” file was corrupted? Yeesh, Jan to the rescue. Martinibomb and Jan keeping this leaky boat afloat.
Avatar 8:19pm Martinibomb:

Recorded on cassette tape, Casios, analogue synth, ha ha...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26pm Richard S:

I know a lot of people who home brew. Quite often, when they ask me to taste their stuff, I respond: "Quiet please, I am analyzing. Yes... Relatively simple alcohol molecules with traces of fusil oils...."
