I THINK I knew a different show called Vegetable Soup, or it was Alphabet Soup, that was supposed to be Seasame Street more aimed at an urban black audiance (it was a 70's thing, and it used to get reaired on sunday mornings on the staation that carried home shopping club)
  3:18am
ignatatus666:

Were the characters multicultural with human hands and have a spaceship made from junk?

THAT was a companion show to it, I keep forgetting the name of it though

OUTERSCOPE, that was the puppet show part
  3:23am
ignatatus666:

I just looked it up
It only had 2 seasons. Not sure of the one you spoke. We lived this show . It was so bizarre.

Nick the Bard:

who the hell is going to remember THAT name ever
  3:26am
ignatatus666:

Wow
Bette Midler and James Earl Jones were regular voices on it
Imbd gave it an 8.1/10
I’m surprised no one ever tried to run these again
Avatar 3:26am

and then it all got paired up with New Zoo Revue, that was a freaky ass morning to wake up to at 6am on a sunday

I wouldn't recommend looking it up, unless you want to see puppets that look like they're made from mummified orphans
  3:33am
ignatatus666:

I hated New Zoo revue
No way even closely related
Well maybe same drugs influenced the producers
Then we had the Magic Garden
But none of them were close to the oddity of Vegetable Soup

I swear I remember an episode of The Electric Company from the 70s (I would've been around 7) that had a skit about a superhero called Lettuce Man. The bad guy turned up at a party where a woman was serving a salad to all her guests, and he turned the lettuce to wallets, till Lettuce Man saved the day and turned them back to lettuce. I can't find any mention of it online, and nobody I've mentioned it to believes me. But I swear I saw it!

So add both of you to that list and bring Bruce Springsteen along as well
Avatar 4:28am
Nick the Bard:

The new line-up released two albums on Irving Azoff's Full Moon label, distributed by Warner Bros. Records. These releases included 1981's Grand Funk Lives and 1983's What's Funk?.[2] Neither album achieved much critical acclaim; but the single "Queen Bee" was included in the film Heavy Metal and its soundtrack album. After the band disbanded a second time in 1983, Farner continued as a solo performer and became a Christian recording artist, and Brewer went on to tour with Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band.

Not everyone is called out on that chat
Only a select few. No reason to go make a formal complaint over trivial nonsense. I voiced and nothing more. The same as everyone on that chat. Since everyone can not be treated nicely and fair I left the chat and will not return. That was the 4 th occasion that was obvious. As well as a few other subtle innuendos. That’s the greatest morning show on FM radio, so I walked.
