With billows and blasts from choirs and orchesters
Buskers and talkers
Big bands and squawkers,
the Stork Club has retained its qualities of decaying elegance and dwindling significance since the late 1950s.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm Jeff Golick:

Mind if I just stand?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm Doug Schulkind:

I just now this moment realized the obvious connection between frolick and the yiddish "freilach."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:02pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

ah, Jeff, there's always a stander
Avatar 12:02pm Wolfgang:

Hidee Ho all!!
  12:03pm Listener Gregory:

There is a lake in Vermont that is inexplicably named Sodom Pond. The town was also named Sodom, but when it got a post office, the postmaster refused to use that name, and so he got it changed to Adamant. This is true.
Avatar 12:04pm coelacanth∅))):

ohh - "sit" anywhere. okay, i'll come in then.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:05pm doctorjazz:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23pm doctorjazz:

Vijay Iyer, saw him once many years ago, have to catch him live again one of these days.
  12:25pm Mark R:

Had the pleasure of seeing Vijay Iyer and his trio at the Jazz Standard a few years ago, it was wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm doctorjazz:

Saw him years back, when The Knitting Factory had a jazz festival they would run, when Rudresh Mahanthappa was part of the band. It was great, but that's going back a while (Dave Douglas' Tiny Bell Trio was part of the same festival, to give a sense of how long ago that was; Douglas was a "Young Lion" then).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32pm Stanley:

Here beer:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

this crumbling plaster is actually rather comfy
Avatar 12:38pm Wolfgang:

  1:12pm Doug Schulkind:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Ken From Hyde Park:

So, Mercury is going to transit the sun tomorrow. Is that a sign of good luck or are we going to have a long winter?
Avatar 2:31pm Sem:

Buy Ford stock, I think, KfHP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Granny Spicy Tuna (they/them):

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm doctorjazz:

Thanks. Stork, fun show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Doug Schulkind:

The Stork Club is definitely a dry martini kind of show. It is not a apricot-arugula smoothie kind of show. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm fred:

Thanks Wolfgang!

Yes, as fred said.
