Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm TomDash:

Ahhh, so nice to have a reissue by SCG in the new bins. Means hearing them in heavier-than-usual rotation...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm ultradamno:

Some mistake sonar in the soul for echolocation in the ego, both are hard to remove.

Dawn of the Devi is right up there with Torch and Valentines for peak SCG.

Evening Blastards. London calling on a dark, damp night. Hey Creamo.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm Mister Dobalina:

Avatar 3:25pm Chris from DC:

Oh wow, Hat City, saw them many times back in the day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm tim from champaign (now washington):

Poem Rocket is a corny name but not regrettable. The 2 band names I HATE are Diarhea Planet and that stupid fucking band that has a name that goes something like It's a Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood And I'm Not Afraid To Die or some shit like that. I've never heard either band and never will.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm ultradamno:

Hey, it's Guy Fawkes Day, errr Night. Day, Night, doesn't mean shit.

Got any tunes with explosives?

Glenn Branca #1 forever. Goes great with coffee.
Avatar 3:36pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

If only we had taller been

The fence we walked between the years

Did balance us serene

It was a place half in the sky where

In the green of leaf and promising of peach

We’d reach our hands to touch and almost touch the sky

If we could reach and touch, we said,

‘Twould teach us, not to, never to, be dead

We ached and almost touched that stuff;

Our reach was never quite enough.

If only we had taller been

And touched God’s cuff, His hem,

We would not have to go with them

Who’ve gone before,

Who, short as us, stood tall as they could stand

And hoped by stretching tall that they might keep their land

Their home, their hearth, their flesh and soul.

But they, like us, were standing in a hole

O, Thomas, will a Race one day stand really tall

Across the Void, across the Universe and all?

And, measured out with rocket fire,

At last put Adam’s finger forth

As on the Sistine Ceiling,

And God’s hand come down the other way

To measure man and find him Good

And Gift him with Forever’s Day?

I work for that

Short man, Large dream

I send my rockets forth between my ears

Hoping an inch of Good is worth a pound of years

Aching to hear a voice cry back along the universal mall:

We’ve reached Alpha Centauri!

We’re tall, O God, we’re tall!

- Bradbury

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm mcginniwa:

The Fawkers were on display for us last night here in New Zealand. Of course we get it most of the summer as people our neighborhood seem to horde their fireworks and set them off ever weekend for the next six months.

Avatar 4:11pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

ah nice. This Laurie Anderson release got a ton of great press. Haven't heard the material yet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm tim from champaign (now washington):

I tried listening to a recent release of Kronos Quartet doing a Terry Riley piece. I didn't make it very far before I bailed. It was too NPR for me. I liked that Laurie Anderson piece though.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm David (in London):

A band that [a] sings in German and [b] takes its name from a Chrome songs ticks plenty of boxes for me.
  4:17pm iiibeat:

I'm at least 51% consciously interested in understanding how Dr. Coyl qualifies the 1997 album by Incubus titled S.C.I.E.N.C.E. . . Or if . . I listened to it again last week and thought, "Hmmm." . . Bonus - On the bonus track they talk about aliens putting things in his bu++ . . So, maybe that's a cool incentive to listen to it all the way through . . I dunno.
  4:19pm John from Florham park:

Hello fellow spinage listeners

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm ultradamno:

The cover of that Hood record is amazing img.discogs.com...
  5:16pm Saltonstall:

"It looked like it was going to be really good or really bad, but it was perfectly in the middle"- HAHAHA! quotes like that is why I love listening to Creamo read his setlists
Avatar 5:16pm Creamo Coyl:

Yeah the cover is sick. The color of the blue is ELECTRIC.
Avatar 5:21pm Linda Lee:

It's not quite '79 but it's darn close!
Avatar 5:22pm Linda Lee:

ha! yes indeed! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm ultradamno:

This is the kind of thing they'd throw into the soundtrack of Peaky Blinders that makes you say, hey, that's anachronistic.
Avatar 5:26pm colbua:

good mouth sounds here
Avatar 5:43pm Linda Lee:

  5:44pm ignatatus666:

The kind of music that comes with an acid warning
Do not take the Brown Acid
This is what they experienced if they did
Someone put it in a recording so we don’t ever have to say
What would have happened if we did?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm ultradamno:

If the chanting keeps up it could segue well into MoMM
Avatar 5:52pm Linda Lee:

as i recall you'd be lucky to get something this interesting with bad acid..
