Hi Fry!
  7:10pm moontana:

Vocal fry is listenable if you autotune it, and then turn the volume to zero.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Phillippe Bastille:

  7:19pm John from Florham park:

This station has made me give up commercial rock radii stations because if the same crap they play day after day, even though I don’t have any money to give I spread the gospel of WFMU to the unwashed masses
Avatar 7:19pm dale:

i was a dancing bear at time town in lake george in 1979. those costumes were hot as hell.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm mcginniwa:

I'm the Walter in NZ question. Thanks for the thanks.
  7:20pm Dan:

Vermont calling. And Richard Torrance and Eureka were very radio friendly. “Him” for one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm mcginniwa:

What! Time town! @dale, I'rm originally from Vermont. Went to Time Town in 70's as a kid. Crazy to see that referred to.
  7:22pm yippie:

I've got a floy floy on 78
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:22pm melinda:

I remember seeing a clip from the William F. Buckley show where Jack Kerouac was there and started singing Flat Footed Floogie, I don't remember why but I didn't know it was a real song, it just seemed like he'd lost his marbles and was singing jibberish.
Avatar 7:23pm dale:

really mcginniwa? bolton's landing technically. the yund family owned it and worked it (9 kids!) and it was just too old fashioned in the 80s and just closed.
Avatar 7:25pm dale:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:26pm mcginniwa:

@dale, could have been either late 70's or early 80's. Family's camp was on Lake George. They actually just sold it after 80 something years. Used to go to the camp for a few weeks every summer from `72. Usually had at least one trip to town for the amusements, etc.
Avatar 7:26pm dale:

oldest son had leukemia and when he passed way ted yund just had no heart for it anymore.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm Phillippe Bastille:

Avatar 7:29pm dale:

  7:32pm yippie:

keep the kashmir for sweaters not rock n roll
Avatar 7:32pm slugluv1313:

the rumor i heard (waaaay back in the 1980s) was that she was actually from Brooklyn and her name was "Amy Camus"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm mcginniwa:

@dale nice - I must admit that most of Lake George attraction memories are kind of hard to determine where it was in my old man brain mush, but shit the name "Time Town" sticks with you.
  7:32pm ignatatus666:

Sounds Luke you are confusing LED Zeppelin songs
Song is about Vikings
Avatar 7:33pm Dan Bodah:

Korean yodels? Absolutely! They have a lot of Swiss-style yodeling over there. I have played some in the past.
Avatar 7:34pm Therese:

@Tom- What department? Do we know each other IRL?
Avatar 7:34pm dale:

maybe we crossed paths mcginnwa. if you saw an animatronic bear jamboree i was there.
  7:36pm yippie:

ah i know its just this one korean yodel from a korean movie... basically the yodeling enables a girls bed to start flying and the girl escapes to meet the singer. it is actually swiss style but sung in korean
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm mcginniwa:

Definitely saw the bear jamboree. Hah
  7:37pm ignatatus666:
