Avatar 3:06pm Martinibomb:

I have never gotten really good at playing organ.. I play piano okay but my organ playing stinks really wanna get better at that instrument
Avatar 3:07pm Martinibomb:

Otis probably has a midi keyboard he could plug in and Oliver can play creepy Organ VST music?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:07pm Linda Lee:

love those noise boxes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Otis Fodder:

Wish I had a keyboard, should pick one up one day.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm Linda Lee:

i've got a Yamaha keyboard for you right here, Otis. just have to make it to montreal with it! :-)
Avatar 3:19pm fred:

I think Jeffrey Davison mentioned moving to Montreal yesterday. CFMU might be a thing soon
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Linda Lee:

fred, i think that move is just a twinkle in his eye right now. :-)
  3:25pm Madame Mimi:

Madame Mimi is getting weak and needs more tarot questions to survive!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Otis Fodder:

Welcoming more folks to Montreal. Thanks all for listening in. Mimi is coming off the mix now and back on the mic in a sec.
3:29pm Dave in St Albans UK:

A bit late to the show. The clocks changed in the UK. This is fun!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm Linda Lee:

i didn't know about the tarot readings!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

Sorry I'm late... my best friend just urinated on my lazy chair.... How to proceed next...?
Avatar 3:37pm Rocky Horror:

Hi Otis and Friendly Persuasion fans!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Rich in Washington:

I'm listening but frantically cleaning and cooking for a dinner party this evening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Rich in Washington:

Oh wow, Jan! That must be your best friend!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Jan Turkenburg:

Thank you. I think that is wise too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm Jan Turkenburg:

I shall prepare some nice catfood for him later..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Rich in Washington:

Oh. It just occurred to me that you may be talking about a four legged friend. THAT was a picture!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm Jan Turkenburg:

It's so funny because, I had actually planned to mention that in my first words on the chat before I heard what the show was about. He is getting very old and it's the first time he does that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Rich in Washington:

No worries, Jan! I was just thinking, we've all had some pretty crazy parties.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:43pm Linda Lee:

Jan, is he drinking a lot of water also?
that could be a kidney ailment to look into
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Linda Lee:

if he eats dry cat food, kidney illness is more than likely.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Otis Fodder:

Hi everyone, playlisting and chatting and running about. Super to see everyone here!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Rich in Washington:

I'm gonna listen to the rest of this show on the road. Just discovered we're out of olive oil. Yikes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:45pm Rich in Washington:

Otis! Howdy!
Hi everyone!
Avatar 3:45pm northguineahills:

One of my fave Morricone pieces!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes I know all about it, Linda He's not my first cat. He has been drinking and peeing a lot on and off for over half a year now. I'm in contact with my vet about it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:48pm Jan Turkenburg:

And there's the Dies Irae theme again!
Avatar 3:49pm northguineahills:

Veni Sancte Spiritus is one of the few early medieveal Sequences still used in RC masses and other denominations, though to used even early (this is Morricone's version).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Jan Turkenburg:

nice counterpoint there Enio ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Otis Fodder:

Adam on the turntables now. Love this soundtrack too. Perfect for the Halloween show.
Avatar 3:50pm Mr Fab:

Listening on headphones as my daughter blasts Miami Sound Machine’s “Conga.” Interesting mashup.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Otis Fodder:

Rich, Olive Oil is as important as Salt. Go go man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:50pm Jan Turkenburg:

The Dies Irae theme is medieveal too. I mean Morricone mixes them nicely.
Avatar 3:50pm northguineahills:

(thought to be used even earlier then the early medieval period)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm Linda Lee:

so many of them succumb to kidney illness. it's very sad, because it's basically preventable, to a point. the issue seems to be diet.
Avatar 3:51pm northguineahills:

Si,tambien Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm Jan Turkenburg:

@Linda, Yes, that's true. Karel has been on special diet food for most of his life. He's already the oldest cat I ever had, past 18 now... Always been a strong cat. I hoped this would be my first cat to reach over 20 years... fingers crossed...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Linda Lee:

oh wow!! good work, Karel! :-)
that's a wonderful age for a kitty.
  3:56pm BH:

how can one becomes a better person?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm Linda Lee:

every day with him is a gift now. :-)
i lost my old gentleman last spring. he was just a few months away from 20.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Linda Lee:

they don't care for the numbers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm Jan Turkenburg:

I lost my other cat this spring as well, just 5 weeks after my old little dachshund. It was 18 years ago, Wilma's idea... within a few months we suddenly had three dogs and two cats, a whole family. We had to give one dog away to a better home for him, but the 6 of us were a family for about 14 years. Karel and I are the surviving couple ... :-(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm chresti:

Hi Otis y persuaders!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm Linda Lee:

i understand. i'm sorry to hear that!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:14pm Jan Turkenburg:

Thanks Linda. I'm getting stronger and stronger and SJR is certainly helping with that! :-)

Just posted some photos of the show on IG :-) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4InfXvlkBW/
  4:18pm Madame Mimi:

Yan my cat Babette also lived to the ripe old age of 17, with kidney issues. They are tough cookies! xo

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30pm Linda Lee:

  4:30pm Madame Mimi:

Right here Linda :)
Avatar 4:31pm Martinibomb:

@Jan it says, "Pledge now!" ;-D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31pm Linda Lee:

very wise indeed.
Avatar 4:33pm Mr Fab:

Only a few days left in the fundraising Hellraiser, and, er, we’re not doing so well. So why not treat yourself to Otis’ Friendly Persuasion CD? Chock-full of vinyl rarities that you’ll never find. Amaze your friends! And your fiends! Scroll to the bottom here:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm Jan Turkenburg:

To be more specific. Mimi, what can we, I mean us at SJR, do to reach the Hell Raiser Pledge goals?
Avatar 4:35pm geezerette:

WhoooOH-o-o-o-o-oooooooohhh-(shriek /chains rattle...) Loooook at the sp-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ky things I missed...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm Jan Turkenburg:

It's Chock-full in English too, Mr Fab??? It's the first time I encounter that expression. In Dutch it's "tjokvol'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36pm Jan Turkenburg:

prunounced almost the same way
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm Linda Lee:

O Wise Madame Mimi, can we see a spread for Sheena's next year? how does it look?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm Linda Lee:

there is an actual Sheena & she's very dynamic. ;-)
Avatar 4:41pm Martinibomb:

G-ALLow you got it
Avatar 4:41pm Mr Fab:

Yes, just looked it up, and “chock full” is indeed how it is written in English. Sounds better than “stuffed.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm tw2sheds:

Trying to look this up, is it O Martineau?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Linda Lee:

***thank you very much Mimi!!****

Avatar 4:56pm geezerette:

Avatar 5:02pm Mr Fab:

Actually you guys played “Nightmare,” not Mose Allison
  5:03pm Madame Mimi:

Fixin' it, thanks Mr. Fab!
Avatar 5:09pm northguineahills:

Otto von Schirach! (his father was a 'colorful' figure....
Avatar 5:12pm Mr Fab:

I read that as ‘sriracha.’
Avatar 5:19pm northguineahills:

Most musicians are at the most, two degrees removed from Zorn....
Avatar 5:25pm Mr Fab:

Ha, that may be true, NGH. I’ve done stuff with People Like Us, probly not too many steps from Zorn there.
Avatar 5:29pm northguineahills:

@Mr. Fab: I've played w/ musicians who have played w/ Zorn, and even I forget who I am....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm Otis Fodder:

Mimi on the mix now... Adam coming up after and then we say bye. Thanks for listening everyone!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm Jan Turkenburg:

as amatter of fact I am two musicians away from Zorn too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43pm Jan Turkenburg:

I'm off, Mimi, Otis, Oliver & Adam. Thanks for a fun show!
  5:43pm Madame Mimi:

@Madame Mimi: Lord Byron
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45pm Otis Fodder:

Bye Jan!
  5:47pm Madame Mimi:

@Rocky Horror: I had Screaming Lord Sutch in mind :-) Not familiar with Lord Byron!
Avatar 5:50pm Rocky Horror:

@Madame Mimi: he was the first Lord I thought of. You can google him
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm chresti:
