Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm Therese:

I have two adapters now! Progress...
  5:07pm CC:

I can hear that group that John Lennon mentioned in his last interview very clearly... except for that slight skip a moment ago...:)
  5:07pm scott:

Now let me get this straight: Is it terrible or tearable? Back in the day we just used our index finger to center those singles, no double entendre intendre.
  5:10pm CC:

like clay on a spinning wheel???
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Steady there, Therese!
  5:11pm Jett:

Always preferred that Boo-fant records version! I think I have 3 copies of that indie single!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:14pm Therese:

Love the Boo-Fant version!
  5:15pm Jett:

You know the real deal Therese, you never disappoint! I'm a big Bush Tetras fan also!
  5:17pm John from Florham park:

Hello fellow listeners

  5:22pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

my east indian roommate is putting the moves on his girlfriend. what happnes next i dont wanna hear! so im blasing your show
  5:22pm John from Florham park:

I like the fact when technical mistakes happen and the DJs talk about it
  5:24pm John from Florham park:

@Wfmu_listener_phillip sounds like a plan
  5:24pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

BIG EMERGENCY! here. this morning we ran out of ramen noodles
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm Aitch:

Was Fad Gadget always this slow?
  5:25pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

THERESE. play lots of loud music. please!
  5:27pm BH:

loud music that does or doesn't motivate people to make moves on their significant others?
  5:27pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

tomorrow is mt birthday! im 52. today is my last day at 51
  5:28pm John from Florham park:

  5:29pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

  5:31pm CC:

  5:32pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

  5:32pm CC:

  5:33pm greatb:

Hi all! Love psych Cher! I love the whole "With Love," album as well
  5:34pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

im single! will someone "go steady" with me:(
  5:36pm greatb:

those 45 adapters can be as elusive as guitar picks!
  5:36pm CC:

High Therese..!.. you're doing great doll... keep up the good work!!!!
  5:38pm wfmu_listener_phillip:

WOW! the last time i handled a vinyl record? pink floyds dark side of the moon back in 1989 i was recording it into crome bias tape for my sony walkman tape player
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm steveo:

Hey Therese. I'm digging your records.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm Mike Sin:

I've gotta admit that I'm a geek/neurotic when it comes to all this -- I always bring one of those plastic "spider" 45 adapters whenever I do fill ins. Anyway, very much enjoying the show tonight.
  5:40pm greatb:

Making tapes of records is a lot funner than digitally copying them
  5:40pm Jett:

I am the spindle expert, you only need the spindle to cue up the record, once it is cued, you can carefully remove the spindle and use it to cue up your next record, you can use 3 turntables with only 1 spindle if you know how to do it.
  5:41pm greatb:

i'm gonna be controversial and call them "spacers" ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Pledge some more so the station can buy a 3D printer and make enough adapters to last a week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm efd:

@Jett unless you have a record whose hole is slightly smaller than standard, preventing the adapter from being removed freely while it's in the record.
  5:45pm Jett:

@efd 95percent of all singles the spindle can be removed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@efd - Haha! There need to be a sniglet for a record like that.
  5:55pm CC:

anybody ever owned and old Thorens turntable from the Disco era?... about 80 lbs and you couldn't stop those son of a guns..!..
  6:01pm greatb:

I've gotta "hand" it to any artist who attempts a Smith cover- not easy!
  6:01pm CC:

I'm presently using an Hitachi automatic turntable model HT 10 photo sensor unitorque... I'm very happy with it!!!
  6:03pm v-dawg:

I love Kim's scream. She will be missed. WFMU has done a great job in her remembrance.
Incidentally, the spellchecker wants to change "WFMU" to "MUFF".
  6:03pm CC:

HTR10...sorry...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm chresti:

Hello Therese and folks!
  6:05pm greatb:

Distinctions with differences!
  6:07pm Jett:

@greatb Sandie Shaw can sing anything and it would be amazing! The Smiths have also covered Sandie's songs.
  6:08pm seth from muddy creek:

If there isn’t a band named Russian Bots yet can somebody start one?
  6:08pm Jett:

Just what we need, tips and tragedies!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm efd:

Ira Kaplan and Peter Holsapple (from the dB's) now confirmed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm Sid:

Still have my pair of Technics SL-1200s in the closet from the old home studio setup before you could do it all with a laptop and a mixer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm efd:

and a few others are still pending. Thanks for the mention Therese!
  6:10pm Jett:

France Gall singing anything is great!
  6:11pm Jett:

Holsapple is an old friend, haven't seen the guy in many years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14pm Uncle Michael:

Hey, hey!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20pm Uncle Michael:

I asked a fellow stream DJ, who DJs out, what spindle adapter he recommends. and bought those. I'm quite happy with them.

  6:24pm CC:

I was just thinking about the Cowboys I sure hope they kick ass tonight..!..hehehe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm efd:

@UM those look pretty good!
  6:26pm dave:

Because no WFMU DJ should ever have to suffer a 45 adapter mishap - sending a pair of Wax Rax adapters tomorrow. Enjoy!
Avatar 6:27pm tak:

grand
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm Sid:

Nice. That stainless steel 45 adaptor should stay put on the 'table.
  6:28pm Jett:

@Therese That some picture sleeve on that Buck Owens single!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm Therese:

You are all too kind!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Sid:

Avatar 7:05pm seizure salad:

Christ on a cracker, this Altin Gun track is tight!
Avatar 7:06pm Franco Twinkie:

Therese, this is great! I threw my back out last night and have been listening from bed. No Davy Jones dance, but I have been wiggling my toes.
  7:07pm River:

What a jam that song was.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:08pm chresti:

This has a nice T Rex sound
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Therese:

Funny that you mention, T. Rex, @chresti...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm chresti:

Ha!
Avatar 7:11pm coelacanth∅:

noice
  7:11pm Jett:

What next? John Kongos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Doobois:

I've never heard that version of the Beck tune. Thank you for making the introduction, Therese.
  7:22pm moe:

enjoy your show every Sunday while I prepare lunches for the week, the Sunday salad and washing the kitchen floor....
  7:23pm leshwatt:

Checking in from Ohio. I can always count on WFMU to be playing something new to me. Salut!
  7:24pm Jett:

@moe Therese is quite awesome! I try to make it a point to listen to her Sundays.
Swag For Life Member 7:26pm Alfredo Garcia:

pretty sure this ducktails track has a sample from Getatchew Kassa's Tezeta.
  7:29pm River:

Agreed @leshwatt, WFMU is by far the best music discovery engine I've ever come across. So much gratitude for Theresa and all the other amazing DJs who make it happen.
  7:30pm River:

*Therese My mistake, apologies!
Avatar 7:30pm Franco Twinkie:

Doobois, Chresti use to rent a space from Bong Load Records. They had boxes of Beck 45's in the next room. One of the guys who worked there gave me a copy of Steve Threw Up. A favorite Beck non-album cut of mine. I shall cherish it forever.
  7:35pm Eric from Lake Hiawatha:

Fantastic show after a rough shift scrubbed away the stress Thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm Doobois:

What a great story, F. Twinkie. Cherish it indeed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:37pm chresti:

Fantastic selections Therese thank you!
  7:38pm Jett:

Been playing this Limañanas track a lot at home lately, also that LE'pee album also.
  7:38pm ?:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:47pm Your Ace From Exchange Place:

Love that Fly Ashtray!
  7:50pm McGroovey:

I was just thinking of Fly Ashtray. Well, because Kavoussi posted something on Facebook about their current recording activity.
  7:50pm Little Fyodor:

Wow, one of your best shows ever, really getting blown all the way away, here!
  7:52pm Carmichael:

It NEVER works out the way it should. Heya Therese and audio viewers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Therese. You left us folded, spindled and mutilated.
