Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

thanks for dropping in, james!

I once went to a show at Linton's loft, and I was broke, so I smuggled some beer in even though he had some for sale. Before I left, I dropped a 40 (or 32 oz) and it shattered. He was non-plussed. I cleaned it up and went on my merry way.

Hello, David, Ruth, the OAR firm, Ridgewoodians, and all.

Avatar 3:13pm david w:

Yes, Bubblyfish to start then Hahn Rowe then Olive... and onward thru the night nonstop!
Avatar 3:17pm david w:

Each artist crossfaded with the next, it is pretty clear and sometimes the applause gives a clue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm listener james from westwood:

Outstanding use of the concept of "single." Plus Bryce will plotz when he sees someone has a shorter playlist than his shortest ones!
Avatar 3:27pm northguineahills:

Darn, need to be in and out as the A/C guy is here.
Avatar 3:29pm david w:

Ha, james! Yep this is one loooong single today. (And stay cool, ngh!)
Avatar 3:32pm david w:

Walter of Queens: Thanks to you!
Avatar 3:32pm david w:

DJ Olive takes the wheel.
Avatar 3:33pm northguineahills:

I was going to say that, david….
Avatar 3:42pm david w:

I must tell, and Linton makes this point emphatically, that these sounds were meant to be experienced as part of an interactive, realtime, live mix projection, transmission, sound generating, performance. DL and I picked this chunk to be worthy of your radio ears.

Won't be the first time!
Avatar 4:12pm Sem:

I'm w/ the clapping crowd on this one. Mesmerizing.
Avatar 4:14pm david w:

Thanks, Sem. It's a nice ride. And lasted 6 days!
Avatar 4:29pm northguineahills:

Toshio is probably the most talented turntbilist I've ever come across, and that includes Olive...

One more mention, the video artists that were not "seen" on this show but who were deeply involved were Bec Stupac (Honeygun Labs), Benton-C Bainbridge, and the legendary Bill Etra.
