Masters of Reality (if i remember correctly) came outta syracuse NY & had a decent history before Baker (somehow) got involved. Their pre-Baker stuff = far superior in my humble.

In the summer 1967 I walked into a record store in San Francisco and they had Fresh Cream up on the wall next to Are You Experienced. It was the first time I saw either of those records. I thought to myself: This must be the new thing...groups with three guys.
